In episode 9 of “Chained Soldier,” titled “Reunion, Ccoc, Lick,” Aoba, Yukki’s sister, and two other humanoid shuukis, Coco and Naon, perfectly execute their plan and abduct Yukki. Kyouka and the others had never guessed that the humanoids would target Yukki, and this lack of preparation allowed this incident to happen.
Unlike all the previous times we saw the humanoids, this time, with Yukki, they were very friendly and acted just like any human would act toward another human. Aoba told Yukki how she turned into this half-monster appearance after arriving in Mato and how all the humanoids used to be humans. While they chatted there, Kyouka teamed up with Tenka and set out on a mission to rescue Yukki.

No, “Chained Soldier” is not on a break this week, and Episode 10 should be released as usual on the above-mentioned date.
2. Episode 10 Speculation
The condition in Mato isn’t as simple as it appeared at first. It isn’t just a land of monsters that was invading on earth. In reality, there was a lot more to it that the demon defense corps didn’t know about. All the humanoids, like Yukki’s sister, used to be humans at some point. It was only after they arrived in Mato did they transform into this monster-like appearance.
We also know that even though the Mato peaches aren’t the direct reason behind this transformation, there was certainly some connection. The humanoids only look like monsters but completely retain their human consciousness, so it’s weird that they are attacking the demon defense corps with shuukis’ help. In episode 10, the allied union of the sixth and seventh squads will track Yukki down with Kyouka’s help and face the humanoids while Yukki tries to mediate between them.
3. Recap of Episode 9
After finishing off the horde of shuukis, Yukki transformed into a human, and oddly enough, this time, his reward for the transformation was quite normal. This might have been because Yukki was also catching feelings for Kyouka. The whole squad returned to the dorms, and Tenka tagged along.
While chatting, they started talking about Yukki’s sister, and Tenka asked what kind of person she was, so Yukki recounted one of his childhood memories. Kyouka told Yukki to take the evening off, and Tenka also returned to her dorm. This break didn’t last long since Nei sensed someone was in danger.
Kyouka ordered Hiamri and Shushu to go ahead and check the situation. When they reached there, they spotted someone running from shuukis, so they killed the monsters and saved them. It was all the enemy’s plan, and the person running it was one of those humanoids. It attacked Himari as soon as she was in range of attack.
Kyouka and Yukki were rushing to the site but were intercepted by Aoba, Yukki’s sister, on their way. She attacked Yukki and Kyouka, and Yukki was trying to dodge, but suddenly, Aoba screamed and ordered Yukki to stop. Leaving Kyouka surprised, Yukki suddenly stopped, which gave Aoba the chance to capture him. By the time Kyouka killed the shuukis and tried to reach Yukki, Aoba vanished with him.
Shushu had sustained some injuries while fighting the humanoids on their side, so Kyouka decided that regrouping at the dorm would be the right call. The supreme commander wished to talk with the humanoids so Kyouka couldn’t make any rash moves. She remained holed up in her room to think of a plan when suddenly something unthinkable happened.
The point of view switched to Yukki’s side as he woke up to a humanoid licking him. This humanoid was Coco, one of the humanoids who fought Shushu and Himari. Aoba came into the room and freaked out after seeing Coco licking her dear brother. It turned out she didn’t even know about Coco’s healing abilities.
It was a pretty emotional reunion between Yukki and Aoba, especially because Yukki thought Aoba was dead long ago. After moments of embracing each other, Aoba took him outside to explain the whole situation, how she ended up in Mato, and how she turned into a humanoid, albeit a half-human and half-monster.
Yukki saw more humanoids living there like any other human, and that’s when Aoba told him that all the humanoids used to be humans. They were very friendly, but their attitude changed when Yukki mentioned the Demon Defense Corps. Well, this situation didn’t last very long since Yukki was hungry, and Aoba went to bring him food and, upon returning, found him in another weird situation.
Back at the seventh squadron’s dorm, Kyouka told Himari and Shushu to gear up. When she was plotting a plan to rescue Yukki, something weird happened: her body started moving on its own. Since Yukki was abducted before the transformation ended, he didn’t receive his reward from Kyouka. So now Kyouka was a living, breathing Yukki detector. The sixth squad joined them in his rescue mission, and the whole group set out.
