In episode 4 of “Chained Soldier”, Kyouka and Izumo agree to host an inter-squad exhibition match where the teams will assess each other’s strengths. Kyouka proposed this so Himari could take out her anger on Yachiho, her older sister.
Before the match, we learn about Himari’s real ability, “Learning”. She can copy someone else’s ability and use it as her own. She started training with Yuuki using Kyouka’s ability, which unlocked a new transformation for him. The most awaited battle finally starts.

2. Episode 5 Speculation
With the revelation of Himari’s true ability, we see Yuuki in a new look. As Himari copies Kyouka’s ability and turns Yuuki into her slave, instead of his usual transformation, Yuuki turns into something else. This new form has extremely high speed, which is advantageous in its own way. It may be possible that we see new transformations in the future again.
Even though only Kyouka and Himari can use this ability, we, as fans, can at least hope that he gains new powers through one of them. On the other hand, episode 5 will continue with the battle between Himari and Yachiho. Yuuki isn’t the only one with a new power, as Yachiho’s powers have developed too since the last time Himari met her. Her ability was troublesome to begin with, but now it’s even stronger.
3. Recap of Episode 4
Tenka Izumo and Yachiho Azuma visit the 7th squadron’s base to discuss the alliance notice from the headquarters. Yachiho, is Himari’s older sister and she continuously taunts Himari for being weak and even mentions that she got hurt from fighting the humanoid shuuki.
Seeing how Himari has been holding back her anger, Kyouka proposes to Izumo that they hold an exhibition match between the 6th and 7th squadrons. The purpose of this match will be to assess each other’s strengths before joining an alliance. Izumo happily agrees to it before taking her leave.
After their departure, Himari asks Kyouka to train her and make her stronger. Initially, it seems like she just wants combat training, but soon, it is revealed that she means something else. Himari takes Yuuki along with her, and on their way, she tells him about her real ability.
Her real ability is to copy other people’s abilities. At first glance, the ability sounds really overpowered, but it is unclear as to why Himari can’t draw the full potential. Right now, she wants to train with Kyouka’s ability since Yuuki is a strong asset.
After their first day of training, Himari is utterly shocked by the nature of the ability’s backlash, but her desire to win gets the better of this embarrassment. She continues to train with Yukki, however, only after a few days she realizes that she has been doing it wrong. Instead of standing on the sidelines and commanding Yuuki, it is much more effective if she actively dominates him.
Finally, the day of the tournament is here. Before the match starts, Yuuki and Himari have a little conversation to boost their confidence. The first match is Himari versus Yachiho. According to their plan, Yuuki attacks Yachiho as soon as the match starts, but Yachiho immediately uses her ability to turn back time.

Chained Soldier (Mato Seihei no Slave) is a manga series by Takahiro and illustrated by Yohei Takemura.
Mysterious entrances to the ‘Mato’ dimension appeared, threatning humans by the arrival of monsters called Shuuki. Hope came in the form of Mato fruit that gave superpowers to women who formed a matriarchal government, throwing men at the bottom of the social ladder.
During such times, the protagonist Yuuki met Kyouka, chief of the Anti-Demon Corps’ Seventh squad who made him his slave.
