Your favorite series just ended, and it is still quarantine? No way! Well, that has been the case with Castlevania, and fans are not wasting any chances of digging out the release date of its next season from the creators.
Season 3 was genuinely extraordinary, and we all can’t wait for a new season. Let us look at all we know about Castlevania season 4 so far.
1. Season 4 Release Date
Season 4 of Castlevania does not yet have a release date. This article will be updated once a release date is out. Until then, you can check its season 1, 2, and 3 on Netflix.

2. Season 4 Production Updates
Warren Ellis, the writer of the show, uncovered some updates about season 4 on his blog.
This is what he said:
“So we’re on for season 4. We don’t expect too much of a COVID-related delay, but if that one guy who keeps tagging me on IG to demand “season 4 NOW” could fuck off, I’d appreciate it.
Four seasons of an Anglophone adult drama animation about vampires, moral philosophy, and toilet paper. Which is not a niche production, but something with an audience of (stops, sees Netflix sniper rifle dot)… many, many millions.
Who saw that coming? If it turns out that this weird thing is what prised open the door on doing adult-oriented drama narrative in English language animation, I would be delighted. Because we just proved that the audience is there, in the same numbers that show up for live-action drama.”
3. Expected Storyline
At the end of season 3, Alucard retreats to his castle, leaving behind the dead bodies of Taka and Sumi outside to ward off visitors.
Trevor and Sypha managed to close the Infinite Corridor and prevent Dracula from returning to Earth. Meanwhile, Hector has been enslaved by Lenore, he’s now her “pet,” as she puts it.
It does not look like Hector will have many chances of escaping in season 4.
Dracula’s child is probably going to be the focal point of season 4, and it is conceivable that he would grasp his legacy. If that occurs, it will be a significant issue for mankind.
Alucard is also expected to explore his hidden vampire powers, which comes from his half-vampire half-human blood.
As for Wallachia, since Hector is enslaved, Carmilla’s expectations of taking over Wallachia are required to become possibly the most essential factor. However, there will be quite a challenge between her and Isaac for the spot.
4. Recap (Season 1-3)
The series began in the country of Wallachia in the 15th century. A woman named Lisa marries a vampire named Vlad Dracula Tepes.
Lisa has a high intellect in science and medicine and a soft side to help the people who are in need. However, the 15th century was not a good time to live in with all that knowledge as her art got confused with witchcraft, and she was burnt alive.
Furious by this, Dracula raises an army of the dead and declares war against human civilization. With fearless vampires as generals, humans were slaughtered at the streets every day.
There are two human generals as well, Hector and Isaac. They can forge vampire soldiers out of corpses. They have their own messed up history and hence are loyal to Dracula.
A female vampire general, Carmella doesn’t agree with the whole group and thinks this war is a waste of time. She even planned a failed coup.
Trevor Belmont, the last remaining member of the Belmont family, whose whole purpose was to fight evil, is a hopeless drunk man. He stumbles upon the town of Gresit, which gets attacked by vampires.
Still, Trevor and Sypha, who is the granddaughter of the leader of a nomadic monk tribe called “The Speaker,” saves the day. While fighting the vampires, they fall into a ditch where they find Alucard.
Alucard is the first son of Dracula and was recovering from the wounds his father gave him during his failed attempt to stop this war. All three agree to join forces and fight off Dracula.
