In episode five, titled “Sealed Blaze Maiden/Face Off,” Danji spent the day with Mirei out in the city. Mirei told Danji about her brother and how much he means to her.
Haruka gave Danji a recorder to listen to what Mirei talks so she could keep tabs on her. Mirei made a deal with Danji to stop treating her formally with a Vanguard game.
Haruka understood unexpected events were coming up as they found out about team Blackout’s retaliation.

Episode 6 Discussion
Danji gets to spend time with his sister without her knowing he is her brother. While Danji connects with Mirei, he remembers incidents from the past with the family.
Danji’s dream was quite an incident of the past. What happened between Danji and his family to cause such a distance? Will Mirei find out who Danji is to her, and how will she react if it happens?
Daybreak is now witnessing team Blackout’s retaliation. Team Blackout is on to their next fight in the next episode, and Megumi will take on an opponent. Let’s hope to see a good story development as we wait for the following episodes.

Episode six of the Cardfight!! Vanguard overDress anime season two will be released as per schedule. No such delay has been announced.
Episode 5 Recap
This episode starts with Danji dreaming about the past events back when he was with his family. He dreamt of the incident that happened in the family house and getting blamed for it. Waking up, he realizes it was a dream.
Afterward, Haruka and Mirei get prepared for the day, and later they demonstrate a Vanguard game in front of children.
Mirei mentions how she wants to go to Ezo because there’s guarana soda. Danji and Zakura enter, and they understand Mirei wants to get guarana soda.
Zakura mentions there’s an Ezo festival nearby which gets the attention of Mirei. Danji is then permitted to take Mirei out, but Haruka gives him a recorder to get details from Mirei. Later Danji and Mirei visit the festival site.
They spend the time getting snacks and checking out the stalls in the festival. Going around, Mirei reveals some secrets and dislikes to Danji.
While on the other end, Haruka takes down what Mirei speaks. Trying to get guarana soda, Danji and Mirei find it to be sold out.
As they leave, a glass-shattering sound startles Mirei and Danji recalls some aspects of his dream.
With this, Danji says it’s best to head back. While heading back, Mirei apologizes for that sudden startle and finds that Danji has trouble with loud noises as well.
Mirei then shows Danji a way to ease down by hugging a plushy and mentions that her big brother taught her about it. She says her brother was always around for her.
Realizing Danji went quiet again, she demanded a Vanguard game to quit being polite with her.
Danji and Mirei start the game and set out their cards. Trying to gain an advantage, Danji soul charges Deryck along with Bruce. Mirei starts with Namorkahr and activates its skill. As they both play out their turns, Mirei brings Bavsargra and arms it with weapons.
While they play, Danji understands Daybreak’s game etiquette. Danji questions Mirei about what she feels about the etiquettes. Mirei told him no one had asked her a question like that and reminded her of her brother.
Mirei tells even though she feels certain gestures are ill-mannered, she likes to laugh slightly at times.
Danji tries to attack Mirei’s Vanguard but she strategical plans a powerful attack. Danji is surprised that Mirei has become different in specific ways.
After their game, Danji treats Mirei casually as promised. Meanwhile, Haruka and Masanori talk about how certain events are coming their way and a blackout will occur.
