In Episode 7 of Cardfight!! Vanguard: overDress, Yu-yu developed a fever from overexerting himself in the previous match against Tohya. Danji rushed and took Yu-yu to a hospital.
He then took him to his home as there was no one at Yu-yu’s place. Danjo bought things from a supermarket to cheer up Yu-yu and gifted him a deck of cards that Yu-yu wanted for a long time.
He also had a match with him, where he won. The following day, Yu-yu woke up feeling well.

1. Episode 8 Preview & Speculation
After another really fun and chill episode, I feel like I won’t see Tomari, Zakusa, or Masanori duel this season.
What interests me is about Danji. He was already melancholic in Episode 3 before he announced his retirement, but even in Episode 7, Danji mentioned something about enjoying the time he has left.
Really worrying! Is he moving? Or worse, is he dying?It’s getting harder to tell if Danji and Yu-Yu have a brotherly relationship or a mentor and student relationship.
Regardless, I’m now extremely curious about Danji’s backstory because it feels odd that he lives in a remote place like that despite having like five jobs. There’s got to be more than what they’re letting us on.
2. Episode 8 Release Date
Episode 8 of the Cardfight!! Vanguard: overDress (2021) anime, titled “Like a Fish and Water”, has been released on Saturday, May 29, 2021.
Since this anime runs on a weekly schedule, new episode releases are seven days apart.

3. Episode 7 Recap
Danji fixes the watch at the entrance of Wonder Hill. Meanwhile, yu-yu and others are practicing cardfighting in the park. Yu-yu seems off from the previous match. He suddenly develops a fever and faints.
Tohya warns Danji and calls him. Danji gets worried and rushes. After a while, Yu-yu wakes up that he is just sleep-deprived and has a cold, so he just needs to sleep.
Danji does everything in his hand to bring down Yu-yu’s fever. He then insists Yu-yu drink a mug of raw eggs for better nutrition.
While Tomari and Danji fights and discusses who will take better care of Yu-yu, Megumi and Zakusa arrive and ask them to take him to a doctor first before arguing with each other.
Danji gets to know that everyone at Yu-yu’s house is out on a trip, and there’s no one to take care of him. So, he takes Yu-yu to his house. A concerned Danji buys a teddy bear for Yu-yu so he can sleep better being away from his home.
As Yu-yu wakes up, he finds Danji taking care of him at his home. Later, everyone from the amusement park also joins them with gifts. Yu-yu’s fever finally comes down. Danji gets a stronger deck of cards for Yu-yu. Yu-yu says that he wanted these cards for a long time.
Danji brings up the previous match and asks Yu-yu to be happy as he won the match against Tohya, and there should not be anything lingering from the fight.
Yu-yu comments that something does linger, and it is the one who lost. He says that he doesn’t like seeing anyone suffer.
Danji offers to play a match with him where Danji wins. Yu-yu comments that the game was fun. Meanwhile, Tohya is indulged in a deck of cards as a result of losing in the previous match.
Masanori watches him and comments the great look in Tohya’s eyes is back.
Back at Danji’s place, Yu-yu wakes up early and prepares breakfast for them. Megumi and Zakusa joins them. On asking what he would like to eat, Yu-yu replies ramen.
Danji says he knows a great place and treats everyone as a celebration of Yu-yu’s recovery.
