Pokemon Scarlet and Violet has been receiving a lot of hype for introducing a lot of mysterious Pokemon in the game through mechanisms like Stakes and Shrines, Terastallization, and much more. Besides the regular legendaries, we get to meet another set of mysterious Pokemon called Paradox Pokemon.
Paradox Pokemon are basically the past or present versions of the current Pokemon. You will encounter all the Past Paradox Pokemon in Pokemon Scarlet and the Future Paradox Pokemon in Pokemon Violet.
Paradox Pokemon are quite rare, hence you can’t breed them with any other species of Pokemon. It’s also possible that you can’t breed them since the biological makeup of these Pokemon is drastically different from the current-era Pokemon due to their evolution.
Unfortunately, these Pokemon won’t give you any eggs in the Pokemon Picnic either.
How to catch Paradox Pokemon in Scarlet and Violet?
Though Paradox Pokemon have zero chances of breeding, you can still catch them by roaming around in Area Zero in the Paldea region. However, you need to clear the main story first to catch these Pokemon.

How to catch shiny Paradox Pokemon in Scarlet and Violet?
Introduced in Generation 2, shiny Pokemon have always been a fan-favorite due to their rarity. Scarlet and Violet spices up the shiny Pokemon concept even more by giving its players a chance to catch shiny Paradox Pokemon as well!
Paradox Pokemon can be encountered naturally in the wild, which is why you can catch their shiny versions as well. However, the probability of encountering a shiny Paradox Pokemon is similar to any other Pokemon i.e. 1/4096 percent.
To increase the chances of catching a shiny Paradox Pokemon, cook up a Shiny Sandwich that attracts the type of Paradox Pokemon you wish to catch. Use a Shiny Charm if you have one, and try to catch the shiny within that 30-minute window.
Shiny Charm can be obtained from Jacq after completing your Pokedex.
