After spending the night with Nazuna, Kou began to feel more comfortable around her. During this time, Akira had started to develop feelings for Kou and even said she would remain his friend if he were to become a vampire.
We will see how Akira handles her feelings in the upcoming episode and how she accepts the fact that Nazuna is more attractive to Kou than she is. As always, I am looking forward to the episode’s heartbreaking moments and how things will be resolved for them.

Episode 4 Recap
Observing a teacher scolding a student for sleeping in class, Akira watches intently. The teacher tells the whole class that it is best to develop good sleeping habits at a young age when he complains he is not getting enough sleep.
The advice has proven valuable to Akira, who has been sleeping less for a while but doesn’t know how to deal with her issues.
No matter how hard she tries, she cannot fall asleep that night due to repetitive thoughts. Kou, however, manages to leave his house without raising suspicion, as he always does. Nazuna sits alone on the playground near the apartment, so he heads to see her.
Even though it is notoriously hard for him to find her on most nights, Kou finds it odd that he managed to find her so easily. Nazuna, however, does not meet him on the playground.
In the aftermath of their kiss the previous night, Kou is unsure how to behave in front of her. Under the stars, he walks around the city, contemplating the meaning of the incident. He concludes that he has most likely fallen in love with her and can now become a vampire.
Nazuna eventually finds him on her own. She confronts him about the kiss, and he also expresses his thoughts and argues that they should turn each other into vampires.
It is without argument that Nazuna drinks his blood. The fact that Kou did not become a vampire shocks him. As Nazuna argues, it isn’t surprising given that he isn’t in love yet and was just sexually aroused.
In the absence of any experience, Kou is unable to distinguish between love and lust. Akira, incapable of sleeping, decides to wear her school dress out. The three of them spend quality time together at Nazuna’s apartment after she comes across Kou accidentally. Kou’s relationship intrigues Akira, so she joins them to support her friend.
Akira and Kou play a few games together after Kou takes her to Nazuna’s apartment. To understand the couple’s relationship dynamics, Akira closely observes them. Despite this, she has difficulty comprehending that his friends would date a vampire.
Although she supports Kou’s decisions, she cannot understand why she would want to date Nazuna, who she refers to as an obscene monster, even though she wants to support his decisions. Nazuna is halfheartedly defended by Kou, even though he argues too much.
For some time, Akira sits quietly while the trio plays video games again. Despite Nazuna’s lewd jokes and friendly behavior, she watches. She now sees that his friends’ relationship appears wholesome despite her earlier call for an obscene monster.
Kou’s reluctance to discuss his fantasies and discomfort discussing sexual topics also relieves Akira.
Nazuna is quite shocked to find out that his friend sleeps with her. Kou clarifies everything soon after, even though she initially misunderstood things. Akira cannot leave Nazuna’s apartment because it is raining, so they have to share a blanket. Following Nazuna’s blood consumption, the three sleep together.
In addition, Akira learns that her friend cannot become a vampire until he falls in love with Nazuna and drinks his blood. She feels more confident about Kou’s dating choices as the night progresses.
Despite becoming a vampire, they will remain friends. She has also realized that Kou cares deeply and has become quite open to her.

Call of the Night manga by Kotoyama was first published in the Weekly Shonen Sunday magazine in 2019. The series will receive an anime adaptation in July 2022.
The series’ plot focuses on Ko Yamori, a human, and Nazuna, a laid-back and free-spirited vampire. After Ko discovers Nazuna’s nature, he wants to become a vampire too.
Yet, the only way to turn into a vampire is by falling in love with one.
