Episode 12 Recap
Kou meets Mahiru to discuss the reasons behind becoming a vampire after encountering the vampire at school. While he expresses his gratitude that they were able to reconnect, he does not avoid critiquing his decisions.
The attack has shaken Kou’s insides, and he’s not sure whether he should even consider becoming a vampire after all.
In the meantime, Kou worries that he may end up like the vampire in school. Thus, he opens up to Nazuna about it. Nazuna assures him that when she cannot get enough blood, she will not become like the vampire at school. Nazuna drinks Kou’s blood after the eccentric duo goes for a walk together.
That night, Nazuna is taken to Kou’s room since no one is at home. It does not take her long to explore every corner of his house, as she is curious about him. When she found no porn, she joked about looking for it. In the meantime, Kou shows signs of second thoughts about becoming a vampire and is quite serious about his decision.
Nazuna doesn’t romanticize the idea of being a vampire despite his feelings. Vampire life is free but also quite dull at the end of the day. Nazuna decides to leave abruptly after their discussion ends. Anko, the detective, contacts Kou later that night to discuss several important issues.
Kou claims that his first contact with Anko was a warning that he would eventually contact her. While jokingly flirting with him, she desires to discuss his doubts about going out with him.
In the meantime, Kou wants to find out just how much she knows about him. She begins by stating that she grew up in a single-parent household, followed by some entirely accurate statements about Anko’s preferences for women.
Seeing how much she knows about him, Kou cannot conceal his shock. When he presses her, Anko insists that she only makes educated guesses. In the course of the conversation, Kou becomes curious about whether she is capable of killing vampires.
However, Anko doesn’t provide any further explanation as to how she knows how to do it. Despite that, she warns him of the dangers he is exposing himself to.
He does not know much about vampires, as Anko stated previously. As a result of getting involved with Nazuna, he has put himself in an uncomfortable position. Only after falling in love with her can he become a vampire.
Nevertheless, Anko believes that there is a good chance that he isn’t romantically inclined at all. Since Kou knows this point is valid, he seems to be affected strongly by it. The problem does not end there, however.
Having gotten close to Nazuna, he is now liable to other vampires, who would kill him if he failed to become Nazuna’s child. Thus, Kou is faced with a highly complex situation and must act quickly before it is too late.
Anko claims vampires are not as evil as he makes them out to be before leaving. It is even said that they coexist with humans and have a soft spot for them. For Kou to become a vampire, Hatsuka-san intends to make him fall in love with Nazuna.
