Summary:
- Developers Activision and Sledgehammer Games have introduced the latest March 6th update for CoD: MW 3.
- The update returns the fan-favorite Das Haus 6v6 multiplayer map in a new avatar.
- Airborne and Skidrow maps and the new limited-time Juggermosh game mode have also been introduced.
Developers of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 have been hard at work, trying to overturn the tide of negative reviews they have faced because of repetitive plot lines and no innovation to the gameplay mechanics from the previous iterations in the series.
As a part of Season 2 Reloaded March 6th update, developers Activision and Sledgehammer Games are re-introducing the Das Haus map to the Multiplayer mode. The update also adds new variants for the Skidrow and Terminal map that are playable in the new Vortex: Decay’s Realm playlist.
Including Das Haus is not a big shock, as it was leaked two months back. Das Haus is a 6v6 map that is relatively small in size to allow for close combat and was first introduced in Call of Duty: Vanguard.
However, the map has been remastered with a modern-era look that now is a construction site atop a skyscraper instead of a World War 2-era training facility.
The other two maps are the Skidrow and Airborne, where Skidrow gives an overgrown abandoned look, which players have historically loved, while Airborne has an airport-based map.
Activision has recently confirmed the CoD: Warhammer 40K Crossover. As a part of this, there will be a limited-time event called the Juggermosh. This mode promises to be a breath of fresh air from the usual Call of Duty gameplay.
Players will be playing as Warhammer 40K-themed Juggernauts for the entire match. The Juggermosh’s LTM’s hulking Juggernaut suits also prevent fall damage and inflict stun and damage on nearby enemies when falling from a height in a very Spiderman fashion.
The player reception seems to be going well as of now, with players loving the reintroduction of the Das Haus map, which has historically been the one where players battle out their nifty trigger-happy fingers.
The developers are doing their best to ensure players take a liking to CoD: Modern Warfare 3 in the buildup to the announcement of the much-anticipated Call of Duty 2024.
