Ryouma reaches his new destination, Lenaf, to set up his branch shop in episode 3 of By the Grace of the Gods season 2, titled “Ryoma and the Poster Girl”.

Pioro, Glissela’s acquaintance, and his daughter Miyabi help him get everything started, and Ryouma comes to know that Pioro’s ancestor was also a transfer from Japan.

Ryouma hears about the smash boar that has been terrorizing the city and comes face to face with it while collecting herbs for a job.

Episode 4 Speculation

The second branch of Bamboo Forest is already underway preparations. However, Ryouma now finds himself in a dangerous situation with the smash boar appearing before him. Although he has a lower rank right now, his quick thinking will allow him to quickly devise a plan and use his slimes to defeat it.

When Pioro and the Guild hear about his victory against the boar, they will probably get pleasantly surprised by his abilities. The publicity in the city might aid him with his new shop by drawing attention to him.

Episode 3 Recap

Eli reads Ryouma’s letter and is impressed that he is already heading towards setting up a branch shop for Bamboo Forest.

Ryouma reaches his destination Lenaf and meets Pioro, owner of Saionji trading company and Glissela’s acquaintance, whom she told to help Ryouma in the new city, as well as his daughter Miyabi.

Pioro takes Ryouma to the guild for paperwork. Ryouma is impressed by the architecture, and Pioro tells him that the Merchant’s, Adventure’s, Crraftsman’s, and Dragon’s guilds are all built within a fortress.

He also explains the interdependent setup of the four guilds and how his own ancestor came up with it and gave it the name “Airport”. Ryouma realizes that Pioro’s ancestor was also a transfer like him.

After looking at the building where the new shop will be set up, Pioro offers Ryouma to stay at their place. He promises Ryouma a delicious meal after all the not-so-tasty adventurer food he had on the road.

Ryouma is thrilled to see a delicious Japanese meal prepared for him and eagerly inquires if they have a supply of miso and other such materials, and Pioro tells him they do. They happily converse during the meal, and Ryouma finds out that Miyabi will soon be heading to the academy in order to make connections as a future businessman.

Pioro inquires Ryouma about his plans, and he tells them that he will also look for some adventure work while preparing the shop. Since he is currently an E rank, they warn him about a smash boar that has been prowling outside the city for a while.

Ryouma recalls that he has heard the name from the gods before when they suggested he fight monsters to prepare for the Great Forest.

The next day Ryouma heads off with Miyabi to prepare the furniture for the shop. When Pioro checks in the afternoon, he is surprised to find the slimes doing the work, and Ryouma tells him that he taught them how to wield tools.

After his work is done, Ryouma goes to the Adventurer’s Guild to look for jobs. He and the slimes gather herbs from outside the town. His Limour bird returns and gives him Eliaria’s reply, in which she excitedly congratulates him on his new branch and tells him how she told everyone the news.

Just then, he hears a voice, and the smash boar appears in front of him. Ryouma and the slimes face against it.
