Brie Larson has to keep mum on all the ‘juicy’ details as Captain Marvel sequel film begins production. With Phase 4 packed with several projects slated for release over the next 3-4 years, Marvel Studios has been busy and currently has multiple films and tv series in production.
The sequel film is titled The Marvels. As of now, there isn’t much to know about the sequel, which has already gone through a title and logo makeover.
In an interview for Sirius XM, Larson revealed that filming for The Marvels has officially begun. Larson, who has been hard at work building her physique to portray the superhero, gushed about the filming process.
When You’re doing films like these, they’re unlike anything else. Huge sets. Huge amounts of people on set. Lots of specialists. It’s a really unique experience. I’m a huge fan of Disneyland, so to me, it feels like I get to go to my own private Disneyland every single day.
Because they’re building all of these insane worlds that no one else knows about, no one else gets to see. You’ll see it when the movie comes out, but for now, it’s just mine. I’m in sets that are bigger than you can imagine right now. It’s really special.

Larson also recently appeared on the Jess Cagle podcast and talked a bit about the film and what fans can expect.
Oh my gosh, so much going on. A lot of juicy things happening that I cannot say a word about. But boy oh boy, is it good, and you’re gonna be very excited about it.

When asked about her experience working with Nia DeCosta, Larson only had praises for the film’s director,
She’s amazing, she’s so awesome and cool and clear and just the thing I loved about her too is she gave the best pitch… She just came in ready and had such an incredible take on this story and on this film. And I’m so happy that she’s guiding this. I’m thrilled.

Larson is well trained at keeping Marvel Studios’ secrets as The Marvels will mark her third film in the MCU. These secrets could refer to Zawe Ashton reportedly being cast as the main villain, with rumors of Jude Law returning as Yon-Rogg.
The Marvels will see Larson return as Carol Danvers, aka Captain Marvel, and feature multiple heroes that come under the ‘Marvel’ banner. Joining her are Teyonah Parris as Monica Rambeau and Iman Vellani as Kamala Khan, aka Ms. Marvel.
Parris’s grown-up version of Rambeau first appeared in and got her powers in WandaVision earlier this year. Whereas Vellani will lead her own series on Disney+, Ms. Marvel, introducing her to the MCU, which is now being pushed for an early 2022 premiere.
The Marvels has a theatrical release date set for November 11, 2022.
