One earthly being and one mythical being are coming to Los Angeles to meet the Devil in the sixth season of Lucifer. Entertainment Weekly has reported that Alias actress Merrin Dungey and actress Brianna Hildebrand have joined the cast of the Tom Ellis-starrer and will be portraying two new characters in the final season.
According to the official character description, Dungey has been cast as Sonya, a tough uniformed police officer who forms an unlikely bond with D.B Woodside’s Amenadiel.
On the other hand, Brianna Hildebrand, who is known for playing Negasonic Teenage Warhead in the Deadpool movies, will be seen as Rory, a rebellious angel who is quick to start trouble. She will be following in the footsteps of Lucifer but will be shocked to find out that he is not all that devilish.

The fifth and penultimate season of the fantasy drama premiered in August this year and went on a hiatus after teasing the fans with an amusing twist regarding what is coming in the second part of season five. With Lucifer’s twin brother Michael still on the Earth and raring to have another round with his brother, it remains to be seen whether Lucifer’s friends and family will be able to survive the wrath of the heavenly beings.
To date, there has been no news when the show will return but it is rumored that the second half of the fifth season might drop in early 2021.
