Boruto Anime to Enter “Code Arc” After Adapting Sasuke Retsuden!

Shueisha’s annual event Jump Festa 2023 is dropping a bunch of surprises as it is supposed to. The panel for Naruto and Boruto: Naruto Next Generations have finally relieved us of something we have been waiting for long.

On Saturday, which marks Day 1 of the two-day Jump Festa event, the panel for Naruto and Boruto revealed that the anime will enter “Sasuke Retsuden Arc” in January. Once the arc concludes, it will enter “Code Arc” – a manga canon in the series.

A key visual for the upcoming arc has also been revealed, which shows Sasuke and his Sharingan.

Sasuke Retsuden Arc is also an adaptation of written material. It will be based on the novel “Naruto: Sasuke’s Story – The Uchiha and the Heavenly Stardust”. The novel was originally published in August 2019, with a manga adaptation in 2022 by Shingo Kimura.

The artists for the theme songs have also been revealed. Asian Kung-Fu Generation will perform the opening song and Humbreaders will perform the ending.

Currently, the anime is at Labyrinth Game Arc. The new arc will start from Episode 282 on January 8, 2023. It will show Sasuke and Sakura in an undercover investigation to find the traces of the Sage of Six Paths.
