Boruto Episode 289: Release Date, Speculations, Watch Online

Eida clarifies her abilities to Code in episode 288 of Boruto, titled “Captive Slaves.”

With the escape of Eida, Code immediately falls for her and realizes that someone of her ability may be both a huge threat and a huge advantage. Unfortunately, the power he was searching for was not with her but with her creator.

Boruto and Kawaki fight it out on the field to conclude their dispute. Eventually, Boruto overpowers him but uses Karma, the ability he has been hesitant to use since acquiring it.

Episode 289 Speculation

Training will begin next episode, and it will be Boruto’s method of preference since he won the duel; Naruto may also get involved since he has been observing them now and again in silence and acknowledging their strength.

Meanwhile, Eida and Code may begin to move on the village. Code needs to take out his limiter, and the only way to do that is to find Amago, who is now holed up in the Shinobi Village.

Recap of Episode 288

Code threatens to dispose of Eida if she doesn’t listen to him, but she is much stronger than he anticipated and walks away freely. Code and Bug talk about the interaction after she leaves, and one of the guards tries to stop her as she steps out.

The guard immediately gets trapped by her magic, and she walks through freely. Bug explains her power, and Eida also reveals that she has complete clairvoyance and the ability to do surveillance on anyone anywhere.

Boruto says that he will take Kawaki on in a one-on-one, with the stakes being the training regime they stick to, and Eida watches them all from afar before being interrupted by Code again.

He needs Amado to lift the power limiter, and he’s hidden deep in a Shinobi village, making it very difficult for Code to get him at the moment. Meanwhile, Boruto and Kawaki duke it out on the field.

Boruto eventually relies on his Karma to fight even though he doesn’t want to, but he needs even to stand a chance against Kawaki. Eida insults Jigen’s last moments, which enrages Code as he can’t take it when someone insults him.

Eida also captivates everyone who sees her, which is another one of her abilities made by Amago. She was robbed of the ability to have ordinary love since she could never know if someone’s feelings were real or fake.

Naruto watches from above as Boruto and Kawaki continue fighting to the best of their abilities, and Kawaki remains on the losing side as Boruto takes advantage of him. The battle ends in Boruto’s win as Naruto urges them both on.

Eida realizes that Kawaki and Boruto would be two people her ability wouldn’t work on, and they could be her only choices for a natural romance. Code understands this, too, and sympathizes with her in a team-up.
