Episode 271 of Boruto ends with a shocking event. It exposed Hana Sensei’s mission to all the students after she stabs Kae in front of Himawari and Kawaki.
The students discover that she pretended to be the ‘rogue shinobi’ the whole time on the inhibited island and that she was deceiving them from the start. I’m wondering if that stab did kill Kae. Here are the latest updates.

The next episode will be titled ‘Students Unite!’. We will discover whether Kae is truly dead in the next episode and see the students find that Hana sensei deceived them all along.
The students will most likely unite to fight against her, and Kawaki could lead them.

Episode 271 Recap
Hana sensei brings the class to a deserted island that served as the Leaf’s old training field. The discussion among the students turns to a tale that a rogue Shinobi discovered some traps and fled to this island.
When Ehou notices their missing food from the luggage, Hana informs him that no one will return to the island to pick them up until the next day. Neon’s drone is destroyed, and the Inuzuka children’s pet dog is hurt. Kawaki takes the initiative to urge everyone to stay together and not venture into the woods.
Kawaki informs Kaer of his suspicion that she is still the target of an assassin. The last of the drone’s feed may be seen by Kawaki and Himawari, thanks to Neon. Hana’s Wind Style flower petals briefly show on screen, which Kawaki notices and informs Himawari about.
In the meantime, Hana abducts Kae after leading her into the woods. Hana stabs Kae as Kawaki and Himawari watch her do it on the bridge after revealing her actual plans.
