Boruto Episode 249, Release Date, Speculation, Watch Online

Episode 248 of Boruto ended on a sad note. A young Ninja Swordsman of the Mist known as Heibiichigo and wielder of Nuibari, the Sewing Needle, died in combat. Team 5 members Denki and Iwabe were also captured and might be dead, according to Funato reports.

Everyone is on edge after the tragic turn of events. One more life was lost while fulfilling Kagura’s wish. As she changed, Heibiichigo began to view others as her comrades.

The reason for her action was to avenge Kagura’s death.

Buntan killed Funamushi just as he was about to kill Boruto, defeating him. In the end, everyone’s combined efforts defeated him despite his very powerful Jutsu.  Where do we go from here? How will things develop now?

Episode 249 Speculations

Episode 249 is titled “Burgeoning Hatred” and there will be a follow-up to episode 248 at some point. Recent speculation suggests Boruto and Funamushi will square off in a violent showdown.

Kawaki and Boruto will have to hunt him down and capture him. The team will keep you updated as events develop.

Episode 248 Recap

Another battle was again fought in Boruto anime episode 248, titled ‘Another Fierce Battle’. Also, our heroes lost yet again to Funamushi’s small army.

After Funamushi’s men kidnapped Denki and Iwabe in the preceding episode, Boruto and his friends became concerned about what had happened. Denki and Iwabe could not be left unprotected in the village. I liked the way the writers handled this situation, although it’s clear they are still alive.

While Metal Lee had no proof that his teammates were still alive, he had to convince himself that nothing had happened. Now all they could do was wait for Funamushi to attack the village again, after which they could go to find their kidnapped comrades.

The tension in this episode was enhanced by Boruto and the rest feeling anxious about Funamaushi’s next move. I enjoyed how that plot point played out near the climax of the battle, which made it clear that Funamushi was waiting for something.

Furthermore, I appreciated Buntan telling Salad not to overthink the upcoming battle. Salad was never able to be sure what would happen until the actual fight began, regardless of how hard she tried.

The scene between Hebiichigo and Metal Lee was also similar. It was also necessary for him to calm down. Hebiichigo told him that she didn’t like sacrificing her safety for others, and that is why she is still alive. As soon as I heard that, I knew something would go wrong for her.

The upcoming fight for character development seemed to indicate that Hebiichigo intended to protect Metal Lee in some way. In the end, I was surprised by how things played out for her.

Since the previous episode gave us a glimpse into Hebiichigo’s childhood and what caused her to become a ninja, it would’ve been nice if I’d picked up on what the writers had planned for her in ‘Another Fierce Battle’.

I had started shipping Hebiichigo and Metal Lee. But as far as canon is concerned, the ship is now adrift. Poor thing.

During this current arc, the writers seem very serious about casualties. The latest episode of our heroes had them lose Hebiichigo because of Funamushi as well after losing Kagura to Funamushi. What will happen to Funamushi?

It seems that Borutan did stab him to save Boruto. We are keeping our fingers crossed that Funamushi succumbs to his injuries in the upcoming episode.

By making Funamushi’s remaining soldiers more bloodthirsty, the stakes were raised in the battle itself. Boruto and his team didn’t mind if they were hurt as a result of putting themselves in the line of fire. They faced many difficulties as a result of such reckless fighting.

It was an interesting moment for Boruto to figure out how to counter Funamushi’s powerful Jutsu. Mitsuki’s advice led Boruto to realize the similarity between Funamushi’s Jutsu and Seigetsu.

As Funamushi’s body was unable to absorb a lot of water, he was vulnerable to lightning attacks when he didn’t have access to much water.

Funamushi, on the other hand, had another powerful weapon. Boruto’s strategy wasn’t enough to prevent him from being defeated. Funamushi waited for natural rainfall so he could use his ‘Water Style: Raging Jellyfish’ attack, which was what left our heroes on edge at the beginning of the episode.

It was fun to see Funamushi’s latest power, he’s standing on top of a giant raging jellyfish made of water, but he needs to be removed from the board. My personal opinion is that, while I am enjoying the current storyline, I do think it has been dragged out a bit.

Funamushi appears to still be alive and our heroes are still in the village, despite the latest battle. We can only hope that things change for all of us because the continuous clash between Boruto and Funamushi is close to becoming rather monotonous.
