Boruto Episode 219: Release Date, Speculation and Watch Online

Whether or not you’re a fan, the final moments between Naruto and Kurama must’ve brought tears to your eyes. The episode was an emotional roller-coaster ride for Naruto fans.

In episode 218, titled ‘Partner,’ Naruto had to bid goodbye to Kurama, his partner. The price of Baryon mode was paid with Kurama’s life.

Earlier in the episode, Kawaki tricked Isshiki and bought some time at his own cost. On being unable to embed karma onto Kawaki, Isshiki died.

Later, Momoshiki manifested himself into Boruto’s body and tried taking Kawaki as a sacrifice for the Divine tree, but thankfully, Sasuke figured out his strategy and ruined his plan.

Will Naruto and others be able to return to the Leaf village? How will Naruto face Kurama’s death? Let’s find out.

We bring you the latest episode updates for this anime.

Episode 219 Preview and Speculations

Although it looks like Isshiki has died, for now, I wonder if Otsutsuki’s data can be a way for him to come back. Well, I guess that’s something Amado could answer in the next episode.

It seems like the battle against Otsutsuki has not ended yet. With Momoshiki alive, he could take over Boruto’s body anytime, and I bet he must’ve already started on finding a way to do that.

In the preview of the next episode, Naruto wakes to find Boruto and Kawaki well. Although he is happy to see them alive, a part of him is already missing Kurama, which is expected.

The pain and sorrow in his eyes are apparent. After all, Kurama was a part of his life for as long as he can remember. Further in the preview, we saw the shinobis trying to find a way to make teleportation ninjutsu work.

So, being able to return home is the next challenge for them. Also, I wonder if there’s any way for Sasuke to restore his Rinnegan eye. I hope the upcoming episodes will answer all our questions.

Episode 218 Recap

Isshiki implants karma on Kawaki while saying his affection for Naruto let himself be caught. Kawaki disagrees and says that he can even sacrifice himself for the Seventh Hokage. Just when Isshiki’s body starts deconstructing slowly, the karma on Kawaki’s hand vanishes.

Isshiki is shocked to learn that the karma he embedded was actually on Kawaki’s shadow clone. His body starts crumbling down before turning into fine dust. After Isshiki disappears, Kawaki rushes to take care of Naruto, and Sasuke joins them soon.

As they talk about the crazy energy expenditure of the Baryon Mode, Momoshiki takes over Boruto’s body and stabs Sasuke’s Rinnegan eye.

Momoshiki says he never thought they would defeat Isshiki and reveals that he has already blocked their transportation ninjutsu.

Kawaki yells at Boruto not to let Momoshiki take over his body. Naruto asks Momoshiki to give up since he has nothing to feed the ten tails. Momoshiki smirks and stabs Kawaki in the back before Sasuke knocks him far off the ground.

Momoshiki reveals that even though the karma has vanished, the Otsutsuki data that was extracted remains in Kawaki’s body, and he can use his body as a sacrifice to the Divine tree. Momoshiki claims that he will find the ten tails hidden by Isshiki and feed Kawaki to get the chakra fruit.

SASUKE USES AMATERASU ON JIGEN

Sasuke uses Amaterasu against Momoshiki and realizes that Momoshiki could take over Boruto’s body because he exhausted all of his chakra, which means if they could somehow restore his chakra, Boruto might regain consciousness.

Momoshiki attacks Sasuke with the Vanishing Rasengan. Kawaki uses Fire Style on himself to force Momoshiki to absorb it, as he is aware Momoshiki could not afford to lose his only way to the chakra fruit. The plan works, and Boruto starts regaining consciousness.

Meanwhile, Kurama talks to Naruto inside his body, bidding goodbye. Naruto is glad he got to see his allies defeating an Otsutsuki. He is relieved that Boruto has Kawaki to support him and vice versa.

Kurama and Naruto recall old memories and promise to stay together in the afterlife as well. Kurama reveals that the price of Baryon Mode was only his life, not Naruto’s. Gradually, he fades away, leaving Naruto in tears.
