Boruto Episode 217: Release Date, Speculation And Watch Online

An episode where Naruto transforms to his nine-tailed form can never be dull. Such was episode 216, titled ‘Sacrifice,’ where we learnt more details about how the Otsutsukis grow the divine tree.

Earlier in the episode, Isshiki attacked both Naruto and Sasuke with chakra-absorbing rods. While Naruto and Sasuke were too injured to act, he went to Boruto.

Thankfully, Boruto figured out that Isshiki could not afford to kill him, and taking advantage of his weak point, Boruto threatened to kill himself.

At the end of the episode, Naruto transformed to a never-seen-before form after Kurama told him about the only way to defeat Isshiki.

Kurama also revealed that going this way would mean death for sure. Is this really the end of Naruto? Let’s find out.

We bring you the latest episode updates for this anime.

Episode 217 Preview and Speculations

In the preview of the next episode, Naruto can be seen having hand-to-hand combat with Isshiki while Sasuke gets rid of the chakra-absorbing rods and goes to help Boruto.

Although it was not revealed who really helped Sasuke, I guess it was Naruto since Boruto was too injured to do anything.

What Kurama revealed about the only way left to defeat Isshiki is like a nightmare for Naruto fans. Even if we are sure Naruto will not die so easily, we cannot ignore what Kurama claimed.

Nevertheless, things are going to get difficult for Isshiki, now that Naruto has transformed into his most aggressive form ever. Even Boruto was shocked to see his father like that.

The next episode will be interesting as it will reveal exactly what Kurama told Naruto and what kind of power this new form holds.

When Sasuke helps him escape by ‘Chidori,’ Isshiki claims that he will get rid of all of them before going back so that no one can interfere.

In the Leaf village, Shikamaru informs Amado and Kawaki about the situation. Kawaki finds out that he no longer possesses karma. Meanwhile, in the other dimension, Naruto transforms to his nine-tailed form.

Naruto and Sasuke try their best to defeat Isshiki by using different jutsu, but Naruto loses control after Isshiki pierces chakra-absorbing rods through him, followed by crushing him between two giant boxes.

Next, he goes for Sasuke. As Boruto tries to get him out of the rocks, Isshiki comes and attacks Sasuke with the chakra-absorbing rocks. He then crushes him under the similar giant box, but Boruto uses ‘Rasengan’ to hold it.

Just when Boruto is about to give up, Isshiki shrinks the box. Boruto reveals that Isshiki can’t kill him as it would mean the end of their plan of feeding Boruto to the ten tails as a necessary requirement to grow the divine tree.

Meanwhile, Amado tells Shikamaru that feeding an Otsutsuki to the ten-tail is the only way it will transform into a divine tree. Amado continues to say that originally Isshiki intended to sacrifice himself after Kaguya betrayed him until Boruto showed up.

At the same time, Isshiki admits that he doesn’t intend to kill Boruto but attacks him ferociously. At the same time, Kurama tells Naruto about one possible way, but attempting that would mean his death.

Naruto decides to do it, thinking he will die anyway even if he doesn’t do anything and goes straight to where Isshiki is with Boruto.
