Sasuke goes undercover in prison and tries his best not to bring attention to himself in episode 282 of Boruto titled “Sasuke Story: Infiltration.”

Naruto, suffering from a mysterious illness, struggles to breathe and walk. They analyze two leads for some information on the cure, and Kakashi infiltrates the land of Redaku as a private tutor for the prince.

Meanwhile, Sasuke decides to take on the more challenging task and pretend to be an inmate in one of the prisons to gain access to some documents in the observation building. However, he can’t help but bring attention to himself using his innate talent and combat skill.

Episode 283 Speculation

The Director is more complex than he seems, with mysterious eyes that could dispel even Sasuke’s genjutsu. Sasuke will likely have to find some counter to him and proceed with his plan next episode, which is unlikely to backfire as our Uchiha prodigy does not mess up so easily.

Meanwhile, Kakashi has also found the documents he needed, and we will find out the source and description of the illness, most likely next episode. It will likely be even more complicated than they expect, and they may have to go too far reaches to find the cure.

Recap of Episode 282

The episode starts with Sasuke in a restaurant, overhearing the joy of someone else’s engagement. He continues his investigation on the survivors of Kara and reports back to the village.

He recalls when Naruto was suffering from a mysterious illness that affected the Nine tails too. Shikamaru and the rest of the intelligence section discover that the Land of Rendaku might answer their problem.

Kakashi was sent to Redaku, but since they have had no diplomatic relation with the nation, it is going through a famine and the loss of a previous king. Kakashi pretends to be the prince’s tutor and attempts to infiltrate the library.

He begins by teaching the boy how to read and write; it will be a while before he can make any more advancements on the mission. Sasuke looks into the other lead, but Naruto tries to stop him.

Sasuke pays no heed to his words and moves on. He describes the location of the observatory, manages to get in the group of prisoners taken into the observatory, and tries to obtain some of the documents that may explain Naruto’s illness.

The new inmates pay no attention to the mysterious new visitor, and Sasuke goes and sits down with the rest of them. The inmates introduce themselves and exchange their reasons for arrest.

Some of the more aggressive sides of the inmates immediately attack Sasuke. However, they have yet to learn who they’re up against. Sasuke effortlessly plays around with them, taking them all out in a quick fashion.

Not even the guards have the courage to fight him head-on, and the Director manages to interfere and cover for Sasuke preventing further escalation. They decide to overlook the fight, and the Director warns him to be more inconspicuous,

In the chaos of the fight, one of the inmates has made his exit and is now sprinting towards the outer fence. But he couldn’t exactly run as fast as he thought as a mysterious monster got to him first.

The rest of the inmates and Sasuke find the monster, Meno, feasting on his body’s remains. The Director seems friendly with Meno, as it doesn’t attack him even when he gets so close to it.

As nighttime approaches, Sasuke witnesses the gambling games of the prison and coldly ignores all their invites to play. Ganno is painting his nails, and eventually, Sasuke gives in and decides to play.

He puts down a rare gemstone as his wager, and Sasuke asks for a favor his wager; he calls out that he’ll roll the best possible combination and uses a little bit of wind in his throw to get just that.

The inmates are in disbelief, but they lose and thus owe him a favor. Sasuke asks for a distraction as he goes beyond the allowed area for inmates. He searches for the documents he came for and analyses that Meno must be Zansul’s summoning jutsu.

He encounters the beast and immediately takes it on in battle, activating his Sharingan and attempting some genjutsu. However, that doesn’t work, and he is forced to fight it head-on. He takes it out in quick slashes, but it runs away, leading to a trail of blood.

In the morning, Meno is seen without any wounds, and Zansul confronts him about the same. Sasuke attempts to put him under genjutsu, but his eyes are not normal; it does not work.

The Prime Minister announced that the nation would go to war to gain more land and escape this famine. Kakashi finally manages to reach the library and find the books he needs.
