In Chapter 58, Boruto managed to knock some sense into Kawaki and explained to him the importance of teamwork. He has already started sounding a lot like his father.
However, big talks aren’t going to save them from colossal threats like Code and the ten tails. And now that Sasuke and Naruto are robbed of their explosive powers, a lot more responsibilities lie upon the shoulders of the new generation.
Can Boruto and his friends protect the village the way their parents did in the past? We bring you the latest chapter updates for this manga.

2. Chapter 59 Speculations
In Chapter 59, Code and Eida will plan their next moves after being absent in the last chapter. We may find out more about Eida’s past and confirm if she is really related to Amado in any way.
According to many fans, Amado mentioning that she had a daughter and Eida mentioning that her blood relatives are immune to her powers can’t be a mere coincidence.
So, there’s a possibility that Eida is Amado’s daughter, whom he turned into a cyborg to save her life. However, there’s no evidence to support this theory yet.
Code will most likely team up with Eida and attack Konoha to take revenge on Naruto, Sasuke, and Kawaki, or at least kidnap Amado in this attempt since Amado is the only person who can remove the chakra limiters from his body.

5. Recap of Chapter 58
I.Pills to Slow Down Otsutsukifications
In Chapter 58, Naruto hands over the Otsutsukification suppressing pills to Boruto and explains to him the risks of taking them. In the worst-case scenario, he may even die.
To Naruto’s surprise, Boruto pays no heed to the warning and swallows the pill quite casually while commenting on its taste. He justifies his recklessness by saying that he is always prepared for the worst.
II. Disagreement between Kawaki and Boruto
Meanwhile, Kawaki gets mad at Boruto for taking the pills and not considering his change of vessel plan. If the pills kill him before they can get to Code, everything will be in vain.
However, Boruto thinks differently; he is still very doubtful if this plan will ever work out. Moreover, there’s no guarantee that they will manage to capture Code, so it’s better to take precautionary measures to delay complete Otsutsukification as much as possible.
III. A New way of Training
Sarada interjects into the argument and reminds them that they must train hard before even thinking of defeating Code. Kawaki shows no interest in the traditional way of training through chakra control and feels that the procedure is too slow.
Instead, he believes that taking this a step further and training through actual combat will speed up their progress. He even narrates how this method helped him to grow stronger while he was under Jigen’s supervision.
IV. Boruto vs. Kawaki
Boruto proposes to sort this out through a friendly duel. The one who wins will get to decide how the training campaign will go.
Thankfully, Boruto defeats Kawaki with his thunderclap arrows. It seems Kawaki is still too dependent on his karma since he subconsciously tried to absorb Boruto’s attack and then realized that he no longer has the ability.
After the fight, Boruto asks Kawaki not to take too much burden on himself and learn to rely on his teammates instead. The motivational words surely reminded us of Naruto’s talk-no-jutsu that we grew up watching.
Naruto watches the kids from the balcony hoping that they will surpass the previous generation someday. Are these young bloods really prepared to take on someone like Code? We have wait for the upcoming chapters to find that out.
