Yoichi explained why he eliminated Ryosuke from the project back at the facility. To justify himself, Yoichi argued that he was merely trying to remain in the competition.

Amid screams at his former friend, the blonde athlete saw Jinpachi appear on the screen. Ryosuke was informed of his exclusion from the experiment, effectively ending his career.

Jinpachi argued with Kira’s logic, saying the game of tag they had just played had nothing to do with football. Ego responded that all aspects of the game were meant to resemble an actual soccer match.

A time limit of just three minutes was designed to force the athletes to think fast, but the area they were playing in was as big as a penalty zone. Their special awareness was being tested, and the place they were playing in was as prominent as a penalty zone.

Jinpachi told Ryosuke that he had forgotten his career was at stake in his attempt to prove his experiment wrong. Kira remained stunned, lying on the ground rather than hitting someone else before the time was up. When Ryosuke had no more words to say, he left the room, but not before looking at Yoichi furiously.

By attempting to prove his experiment wrong, Ryosuke had forgotten his career was on the line. It was better for Kira to remain stunned, lying on the ground, rather than hit someone before time expired. Ryosuke left the room without saying anything more, but not before glaring furiously at Yoichi.

In response to the experiment, Gurimu complained that it was ridiculous. Having heard this, Jinpachi explained that the test was designed to demonstrate what it feels like for a professional football player to win. It was vital for him to instill in the young athletes the excitement of victory so that they would strive for success.

As he congratulated the remaining eleven members, he announced they would become Team Z from that point forward. A physical evaluation would be conducted later that day for Team Z members.

Besides Yoichi, there was a boy named Gurimu and a boy named Jingo running on the treadmill. As a result of his incapacity to keep up, the former mocked his teammates.

Upon finishing the run, another member approached Isagi and offered him a water bottle. Next, the players were tested on their jumping ability.

The protagonist was shocked at the height that Kuon could jump when he and his teammate were teamed up for the evaluation. Isagi was intimidated even more by Kuon’s inquiry about Yoichi’s health.

In the cafeteria, the boys received their meals after their evaluations. Rice and miso soup were served to each Team Z. Due to their ranking, they also received a third dish. You would get a better third meal if you ranked higher in the competition.

Following their return to their rooms, the athletes went to sleep. Yoichi could not rest due to the constant reminder that he had one of the lowest rankings. His only hope of surviving the experiment was to train harder than anyone else. Bachira wanted to teach with the black-haired boy, so he headed outside to prepare alone.

A training field was located inside the facility, so the two headed there. During that conversation, Isagi questioned Bachira about his certainty that Yoichi would eradicate Ryosuke from the world.

The monster would always speak to our hero whenever our hero played soccer, according to Meguru. The show showed Bachira playing with his high school team in a flashback.

Meguru had to decide whether to score a goal alone or pass the ball to his teammates, just like Isagi in the first episode. Ultimately, he lost the ball because he took too long to consider the issue. The monster continued speaking to Bachira in the present, and he told Isagi he had one inside of him.

The words Yoichi heard from his teammate confused him, but he was nevertheless excited by them. In an attempt to take the ball back from Meguru, he let the monster take control and ran at him to take it from him. Their new ranks had to be explained to them before they could begin training.

The second episode showed Isagi and Bachira entering Team Z’s room. He explained the ranking changes to them and greeted them. It was Yoichi who noticed that the number 274 appeared on his badge now. Jinpachi appeared once again immediately afterward. Food and training facilities were not up to Jingo’s standards.

Their low ranking resulted in lousy food and equipment for them. Blue Lock involved 25 teams of players. The teams were separated into five groups, each living in a separate building. The top player, Team B, had the most excellent food and training equipment.

If Team Z wished to improve their living conditions, they would have to keep moving up in the tournament. Before any further concerns could be made, Jinpachi told the players that the first Blue Lock project selection would begin.

About Blue Lock

Blue Lock is a Japanese manga series written by Muneyuki Kaneshiro and illustrated by Yusuke Nomura. It has been serialized in Kodansha’s Weekly Shōnen Magazine since August 2018. Blue Lock won the 45th Kodansha Manga Award in the shōnen category in 2021.

The story begins with Japan’s elimination from the 2018 FIFA World Cup, which prompts the Japanese Football Union to start a program scouting high school players who will begin training in preparation for the 2022 Cup.

Isagi Youichi, a forward, receives an invitation to this program soon after his team loses the chance to go to Nationals because he passed to his less-skilled teammate.

Their coach will be Ego Jinpachi, who intends to “destroy Japanese loser football” by introducing a radical new training regimen: isolate 300 young strikers in a prison-like institution called “Blue Lock”.
