Shinichi Ishizuke’s Blue Giant manga is finally getting adapted as an anime movie, but the franchise has been really cryptic about the details.
Until now, we have had nothing but teasers and key visuals, which elevate our excitement and curiosity. However, with only two months left till the movie is out, the franchise has decided to share more details.
TOHO Animation has revealed a new trailer for the musical film Blue Giant, opening in Japan on February 17, 2023. The trailer gives us an insight into the journey of the protagonist Dai and the magnificent world of jazz.
Besides Dai, there are two more characters crucial to the story. They are Shunji Tamada, Dai’s schoolmate, and Yukinori Sawabe, a pianist Dai meets in Tokyo.
The three go on to form a band afterward and take on various gigs to practice their skills. Since Dai has no prior experience or training, these two help him and make him good enough to participate in competitions.
As shown in the trailer, Dai practices by the river, despite what the conditions are. Shunji and Yukinori are inspired by Dai’s passion, which drives them to join him and understand the beauty of jazz music.
The trio’s passion for music is accurately depicted in a powerful key visual bundled with the trailer.
