I. Is “Blue Exorcist: Shimane Illuminati Saga” on a Break?
No, Season 3 of “Blue Exorcist: Shimane Illuminati Saga” is not on a break this week and should be released as usual on the above-mentioned date.
2. Episode 4 Speculation
Episode 4 will be a bunch of new trouble since the second-year student Takara Nemu neither looks nor feels like a normal student. He was mentioned a few times before this, and apparently, he enrolled in the academy for some mission similar to Shura’s. His reason for meeting Izumo in isolation and asking her to follow him remains unknown.
He might actually be the Illuminati’s spy, proving Shura’s suspicions right. However, that also might not be the case since a spy won’t stick out this much by acting all mysterious. After the sweetness of episode 3, something raging is surely cooking behind the scenes.
3. Recap of Episode 3
In the Knights of True Cross headquarters, Arthur appoints Kirigakure Shura to find out who the Illuminati spy is in the Japan branch of the knights. With that motive in mind, she arrives at the True Cross Academy, where the yearly “True Cross Academic Festival” is about to start.
The most special thing about the festival is a dance where one can only enter with his or her partner. It can be a romantic partner or even a friend, but solo entry is forbidden. Shima and Rin embark on a mission to find someone to go with, but it ends terribly.
The flow of luck seems to change for Rin when he suddenly finds out that Shiemi transferred to the academy right before the festival. But thunder strikes him, or more accurately his heart, when he tries asking her for the dance. Before he can do it, Shiemi tells him that she was thinking of skiing Yukio as he looked very stressed recently.
This leaves Rin completely heartbroken as even though he’s not aware of it yet, he does have feelings for Shiemi. He decides to focus his sadness on working on the class project. On the day of the festival, knowing that they’d be short in manpower in the evening shift, he asks Izumo to help them out. Izumo initially agrees but later changes her mind.
In the evening, at first, she does not show up, but luckily, Rin and his friends get the hang of working with just three people. The others tell Rin that he can take a break since there are fewer customers. He runs out to find Izumo but stumbles upon Shiemi on the way.
This was the moment a lot of “Blue Exorcist” fans had been waiting for a long time. Once Rin finally asks Shiemi to go to the dance with him, Shiemi realizes her true feelings for Rin, and in her mind, she admits that she likes him. The two run towards the stage where Yukio is working and drag him into this fun too.
On the other side, as Izumo finally headed towards Rin’s shop, a student named Takara Nemu stops her. This particular kid also alerted Shura when she first saw him on campus. His eyes are always closed, and he holds a puppet in his hands at all times. He asked Izumo to come with him, and when she refused, he summoned a ragged doll that triggered Izumo instantly.
