With the arrival of Shadowlands, World of Warcraft’s servers have been experiencing a huge overload. Therefore, huge swaths of gamers are having issues logging into the game. One literally has to wait for several hours to be able to access the game’s popular servers.
First of all, it’s Thanksgiving week. Everyone has a lot of time on their hands to play Shadowlands, and in most places, people are supposed to stay indoors due to the pandemic. Therefore, it’s understandable why the servers are facing an issue.
The only thing that makes this unceasing end from getting under my skin is the lo-fi beats that WoW now features. These beats are based on Shadowlands only and might help accelerate time.
Many enthusiasts took to social media to explain this stumbling block.
Luckily, Blizzard has been very vocal about the issue. The American company said, “We increased realm capacity to let more players than ever before into a single realm, but extreme demand on a few realms has exceeded even that capacity, so we have dialed down some of our earlier changes”.
They further added, “We are trying to carefully balance service stability and accessibility, and exploring multiple avenues to get everyone online and playing smoothly.”
Here is a list of realms that are undergoing server hassle where you’ll have to wait for hours:
US:
- Area 52
- Frostmourne
- Illidan
- Stormrage
- Tichondrius
EU:
- Blackhand
- Blackmoore
- Dentarg
- Draenor
- Echsenkessel
- Hyjal
- Kazzak
- Mal’Ganis
- Silvermoon
- Taerar
- Twisting Nether
The good news is that Blizzard has promised players that removing this error from World of Warcraft: Shadowlands is on the top of their to-do list. As a result, one can expect updates to be rolled out soon.
