Bleach: TYBW First Part to End with a 1-Hour Episode this Month

Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War wasted no time and headed straight into battle and trauma for fans waiting for the series to come back.

In just ten episodes, the anime made us feel ten years’ worth of thrills that were missing in our lives. Not that we’re complaining, but they could’ve gone easier on us.

Since we’ve had so much, it’s time for a short break before this glorious saga of Quincy vs. Shinigami continues.

The official Twitter handle for Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War has revealed that the anime’s first part will end on December 26, 2022.

It will end with a 1-hour special episode that combines episodes 12 and 13 of the show. Episode 11 will air on December 19 as scheduled.

The announcement was accompanied by a sick promo video focused on the anime’s last ten episodes. It summarizes everything that has happened, from the Quincy attack on Soul Society to Yamamoto’s tragic death.

It also previews Ichigo and Yhwach’s first encounter and their dynamic face-off when they collide. As Ichigo trades blows with Yhwach, other characters call out to him to save the Soul Society.

The promo ends with Ichigo getting transported to the front of Kurosaki clinic, his home, with Nimaiya telling him to return to his roots. With nowhere to go and no direction to follow, Ichigo will have to begin again from scratch to defeat Yhwach.

Since Ichigo is far weaker than Yhwach, it’s apparent that he can’t defeat the Quincy King in his current state. I’m guessing Ichigo will have to relive his mother’s death, as everything traces back to that incident.

This only means we’ll have more heartbreaks in the upcoming episodes, so be prepared with a box or two of tissues before watching.
