Bleach TYBW Cour 2 Episode 8: Release Date, Speculation, Watch Online

Kenpachi comes back with a bang and defeats Sternritter Gremmy in episode 7 of Bleach TYBW Cour 2, titled “I am the Edge.”

The legend is back, and he is stronger than ever. Not even one’s imagination can reach the power level of the monster named Zaraki Kenpachi. His fight against Gremmy was one of the most anticipated battles, and it didn’t disappoint.

Gremmy was claimed as the strongest Quincy because he could turn fantasy into reality. His powers were really scary, and he even turned Yachiru useless.

The epic animation and the brilliant and nostalgic OST made the episode memorable and epic.

Episode 8 of the Bleach TYBW Cour 2 anime has been released on Saturday, Aug 26, 2023. The episode title or preview has not been shown.

2. Episode 8 Speculations

The Quincy girl gang will try to kill Kenpachi in episode 8 of Bleach TYBW Cour 2, titled “The Headless Star.” 

It will be a bit brutal episode where we will see soul reapers getting burned, crushed, turned into zombies, and even gobbled up. Giselle, Catnipp Candice, Liltotto, and Meninas will launch a sudden attack on Kenpachi, trying to end him in his weakened state.

They even get him cornered. However, a certain someone’s spiritual pressure shakes the entire Seireitie. You guessed it right, our boy Ichigo Kurosaki makes a blazing comeback to the battlefield.

3. Episode 7 Recap

Isane and Yachiru meet their attacker, Sternritter Gwenael Lee. He can erase his existence from even the mind of his enemy. Yachiru tries to attack him but fails to land any hit.

She takes out her sword. Lee attacks her and dodges her sword but still gets sliced by it. She tells him that getting hit or not doesn’t matter in her case. She calls forward Sanpo Kenju.

Isane wonders if that is Yachiru’s Shikai. Lee gets up again and is about to attack when a strange enemy shows up who starts talking about imagination. He tells Isane that he killed the captains who were lying near them.

Yachiru attacks the new enemy, but he easily breaks her arm. He tells her that he can mold the world around him with his imagination. He imagined that her bones were made of cookies, causing them to break easily.

Just then, Zaraki Kenpachi shows up. Isane asks him about Unohana. He tells her that she is dead. The Sternritter raises the platform and turns it into a fort to welcome Kenpachi.

His name is Gremmy, “The Visionary.” He turns fantasy into reality. Kenpachi rushes at him, but he closes him into a box of water and throws Yachiru into a crack on land.  

Kenpachi brings Yachiru back with him and tells her to get her hand fixed by Isane. He goes on to tell Gremmy to fight him. If he is the strongest, then he ought to battle the strongest too.

Hearing this, Gremmy gets excited to defeat Kenpachi and starts him with bombs, missiles, and machine guns. After a long tussle, Kenpachi successfully manages to land some heavy blows on Gremmy.

Seeing himself losing, Gremmy starts getting restless. However, he heals himself and creates another Gremmy with his imagination. He releases a giant meteor on Seireitei.

Kenpachi gets excited to cut it down and jumps up to the sky. He cuts the meteor in half, destroying it mid-air and revealing his Zanpakuto.

Gremmy makes some more clones of him and traps Kenpachi in a space vacuum. However, he comes out of it by landing a blow on Gremmy. All the clones surround Zaraki and blow him up.

Still, Zaraki refuses to go down. Gremmy decides to become as strong as Kenpachi and starts transforming his body. He grows bigger in size, but before he can reach Zaraki, his body starts to break apart, killing him.

As he is on his deathbed, he tells Kenpachi that he lacks the body to contain Zaraki’s power, which is why he lost. His brain comes out, and he says that even his body was a mere imagination. He withers away into nothingness.

Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War is the final arc of the Bleach franchise. It premiered on October 11, 2022, and its 52 episodes are streamed by Hulu.

The arc deals with Yhwach, the leader of the Quincies, who has declared war on the Soul Society. Ichigo and the Soul Reapers will face this despicable enemy.

Hollows and Soul Society residents are disappearing, and Ichigo needs to defeat Yhwach before he lays waste to the entire universe.
