Yhwach invades Seireitei in episode 1 of Bleach Season 17 Cour 2, titled “The Last 9 Days.”

The second cour of Bleach is back, and it is more exciting than ever. A lot of places were covered, and we got to know about the whereabouts of nearly all the main characters.

Ichigo has grown stronger but not strong enough to defeat Yhwach. Meanwhile, Yhwach chose Uryu as his successor. This leads to a commotion among the Stern-Ritters, which soon boils down as they invade the Soul Society again.

1. Episode 2 Speculations

The Stern-Ritters will cause havoc in Seireitei in episode 2 of Bleach Season 17 Cour 2, titled “Peace from Shadows.”

This attack will be bigger and more catastrophic as this time, Yhwach won’t stop after destroying the Soul Society but will ascend to take the throne of the Soul King.

Yhwach will take complete control of the Soul Society. He will face retaliation as the Soul Reapers won’t sit quietly. The Gotei 13 captains and their lieutenants have come up with some new skills to deal with these unbeatable foes, but we will have to see how long they will last.

Episode 2 of the Bleach Season 17 Cour 2 anime has been released on Saturday, Jul 15, 2023. The episode title or preview has not been shown.

3. Episode 1 Recap

The episode starts with a short montage about how Yhwach came into existence and what made him so powerful. Ichigo and Ichibe climb up the stairs of Hyosube’s Riden.

Ichigo thanks Ichibe for the training and prepares to leave for the Soul Society. However, Ichibe tells him that he will die if he goes there now, as he can’t defeat Yhwach yet.

At Silbern-Cathedral, Yhwach addresses all the Stern-Ritters. He tells them that it is time for them to launch a final attack on the Soul Society, but before that, he calls Uryu Ishida forward and names him his successor.

Everyone is shocked by this announcement, but they can’t do anything about it. Later, Bazz-B causes a commotion, objecting to the election of Uryu as the successor.

Jugram enters the room, and Bazz-B tells him that if he is not going to take his seat as the successor, maybe he should take it. They both are about to attack each other, but Nakk Le Vaar stops them from fighting, hinting that Jugram may be planning to sit on the throne.

Uryu is about to do the ritual to become the next emperor. Before the ritual, he asks Yhwach why he chose him as his successor. Yhwach tells him that he is the only Quincy ever to survive Auswahlen.

Uryu says that he always wondered why his mother died while he survived. He found the answers to his questions in his grandfather’s diary. Now, he understands that Quincy and Soul Reapers can never get along.

So, he has gone to Yhwach to bury the Soul Reapers. He drinks Yhwach’s blood. Yhwach gives him the letter “A,” the same as his. On Hueco Mundo, Kisuke is doing some research while Sado and Orihime reach there safely.

Shinji calls Hiyori to ask for her help, but they both start quarreling. Hiyori later agrees to help when she gets a message from Mayuri. Renji and Rukia train together when they get the message that Byakuya has recovered.

Shunsui goes to the world of living and tells Ichigo’s friends that Ichigo might not come back. The possibilities are very few. He gives them Soul tickets, a way to enter the Soul Society if the worst-case scenario occurs.

Orihime laments about how it would have been nice if everything was as peaceful as it was right now. Suddenly, the Seireitei is invaded by Yhwach, and he completely engulfs it into a giant red ball, making it disappear.

He asks Uryu if he knows about the Kaiser Gesang. It states that the confined Quincy King regains his pulse after 900 years, his mind after 90 years, his strength after 9 years, and the world in 9 days.
