On November 14, the 50th issue of Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine announced that the Black Clover manga is on a two-week break and will return in the magazine’s 52nd issue on November 28.
The manga is on a break because of the author Yuki Tabata’s sudden illness. The manga will not be present in the next two issues of the magazine.
This isn’t the first hiatus the manga series has taken this year. Earlier this year, the series took a three-month long break in April as Tabata needed more time and space to plan the story’s final arc.
After the break in April, the manga returned in the 34th issue of Weekly Shonen Jump on August 1.
Black Clover was first launched in Weekly Shonen Jump in February 2015. My manga is being published digitally by Viz Media and Shueisha’s MANGA Plus. The 33rd compiled volume of the manga shipped on November 4.
The manga was also adapted into an anime in October 2017, and the show aired its 170th and final episode in March 2021.
Additionally, an anime film adaptation of the manga titled Black Clover: Sword of the Wizard King was announced in March 2021. The film will see the return of Tanemura as director, with a screenplay by Johnny Otoda and Ai Orii.
The film is set to premiere in Japanese theaters and on Netflix on March 31, 2023.
