Black Clover Fillers: How many Fillers are there?

Black Clover, an anime often termed as the “new Naruto,” is a series that revolves around magical battles, great action, stunning animation, and an amazing ensemble cast.

The anime rested its case after 170 episodes, i.e., four seasons. There are 45 filler episodes, making it 26% of the total episodes.

This filler count includes all the partial canon episodes, filler episodes, and anime exclusive episodes, anything that is not related to the original manga.

The fillers are mostly recap episodes and hence, are sometimes really annoying. It is recommended that you skip the fillers.

Which Fillers Can You Skip?

There are 45 actual filler episodes in Black Clover, and some of them are recap episodes. If you really do not mind watching generic fan-service comedy episodes, then feel free to watch those.

However, nobody likes recap episodes, and you may refer to the list below to skip them!

Why does Black Clove have Fillers and Anime-Exclusives?

Most anime are adaptations of manga, and Black Clover isn’t any different. Usually, when a manga is ongoing, it needs to have abundant content that could be incorporated into the anime.

In the case of Black Clover, the manga does not have sufficient chapters that can be adapted into the anime and hence, the fillers.

Black Clover has anime canon episodes apart from fillers. Anime canons are different from fillers because they are actually incorporated by the creator of the manga, Yuki Tabata.

He has looked over some of the anime-exclusive episodes instead of letting the staff churn out useless fillers.

There are 22 anime-exclusive or anime canon episodes in Black Clover.

Do not skip these anime-canon episodes, as they have a well-structured storyline and are really fun to watch despite lacking a manga arc!

About Black Clover

Black Clover is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Yūki Tabata. It has been serialized in Shueisha’s Weekly Shōnen Jump magazine since February 16, 2015.

The story centers around Asta, a young boy seemingly born without any magic power, something that is unknown in the world he lives in; and his foster brother Yuno who received the rare four-leaf grimoire and has more magic power than most people! With his fellow mages from the Black Bulls, Asta plans to become the next Wizard King.
