3. Recap of Episode 145
Episode 145, titled “Rescue”, begins in the city of Lehart. All the citizens eagerly awaited the execution of Nero and Mari by the Devil Banishers.
Meanwhile, the members of Black bulls hid and blended themselves among the crowds of people. Waiting for the right time to come and rescue.
The Devil Banishers then claimed that they would spare Nero and Mari’s lives if Asta comes out and gives his grimoire.
Grey faked Asta’s appearance and tried to buy Asta a little time to attack the Devil Banishers and rescue Nero and Mari.
But that didn’t work out and those people become invisible to getaway as the rest of the members of Black bulls start attacking them. Since their mana wasn’t trackable, Asta tracks them by sensing their Ki.
While the rest of the members stayed and took care of other people.
When Asta tracked them down, they threatened to kill Mari and Nero if he didn’t give them his grimoire. He gives them his grimoire but has his doubts so he punches a few members and saves Mari.
One of the members tried to attack Asta but he gets rescued by Yuno, Mimosa, and Klaus. In that process, one of the Devil Banishers throws a smoke bomb and they all get away with Nero and Asta’s grimoire.
At the end of the episode, all the captains along with Damnatio have a meeting with Julius where they confirm that Damnatio’s subordinate Kabwe was also involved.
While they continued discussing what step to take next, they received a message from Kabwe who sounded like he was injured.
He tells them that those members of Devil Banishers were actually the worshippers of the Devil and wanted to gain his powers and called them “Devil Believers.”
