Black Clover has finally reached the post-climax part of the Elf Resurrection arc. Episode 119, titled ”The Final Attack”, was released today, and as the name suggests, it was one hell of an episode.
Episode 119 was by far one of the best episodes of the Black Clover. The showdown sequence between the Devil and the mages – with the Devil’s defeat – was EPIC. So, let’s talk about what we know about episode 120.
1. Episode 120 Title & Release Date
Episode 120 of Black Clover, titled ”Dawn” will release on Tuesday, February 4th, 2020, between 1:30 am and 2 am PST. The next episode ought to be a peaceful one due to the defeat of the Devil of Kotodama magic(World Soul magic).
2. Episode 120 Speculation NO SPOILERS
Episode 119 ended with the collapse of the Devil of Kotodama magic, so the next episode will probably be away from the action. Even the name of the episode suggests the same.
Episode 120 is titled “Dawn,” which means the first ray of light before sunrise. This symbolizes the first pleasant morning or day, after the continuous fighting between the elves and Magic Knights and then the elves and Magic Knights against the Devil.
The next episode will likely be about the remnants of the battle. The work-to-do to restore peace after the long fight. It will probably bid goodbye to the new hotshot – Lumiere Clover(the First Wizard King).
3. Episode 120 Manga Spoilers
The speculation earlier was almost accurate if episode 120 follows the manga instead of stretching out the Devil’s defeat. While the Devil is defeated, his magic remains and keeps on destroying the Shadow Palace. Before that, the next episode should also show the famous conversation between the Devil of Kotodama magic and the Asta’s Devil of Anti-magic.
Everyone will run towards the outermost chamber; however, Lumiere will run out of his magic, although he will be saved the Eye of Midnight Sun’s member, Valtos.
Valtos will teleport everyone to outside after that Licht and William will cancel the resurrection magic, thereby relieving the spirits of elves. Licht & Lumiere will then bid goodbye to everyone and finally die.
The major events to look out for are:
- Destruction of Shadow Palace
- Peace between elves and humans
- Death of Licht and Lumiere
- Patry’s resurrection
4. Plot of Episode 119 – The Final Attack
Episode 119 released yesterday, and it was too good to be true. Even though Black Clover’s animation has been under criticism lately, they proved why they have been the best for so long. The Final Attack starts with Asta getting a massive amount of anti-magic and Yuno, creating a sword out of the remains of Licht & Lumiere’s magic.
Initially, Asta is unable to control his new power. Still, he calms himself down and grabs control over the power after seeing Yuno’s incredible progress. With their new skills, Asta & Yuno are able to pierce the Devil – BUT, the Devil moves his heart at the end and thus survives the fatal blow.
This distorts something inside the Devil, and he starts attacking more relentlessly. While believing in the two boys, Lumiere & Licht decide to help the other people in the Shadow Palace from being killed by the Devil’s magic. To do so, Licht borrows power from everyone and performs his ultimate spell – Demon Light Creation Magic: Light Whip of Judgement! – and that literally protects EVERYONE from getting their mana sucked.
Then comes the most EPIC moment of the episode – the triple-fold attack by Yami, Yuno & Asta. Yami Sukehiro shows off his power by a vast mana skin and Dark Cloaked Dimension Slash ~ Equinox that cut the Devil in half. Following that, Asta gathered his strength with the help of Secre and placed the final blow.
