Black Clover is currently in the Elf Resurrection arc from the manga and is about to enter the climax. We saw the Devil of Kotodama Magic making his entrance in episode 115.

The Devil reveals that he has been behind everything since the start. He was the one who manipulated humans into killing all the elves and revived Patry to plot the revenge against humans.

1. Episode 117 Title & Release Date

Episode 117 of Black Clover, titled ‘Breaking the Seal’ will release on Tuesday, January 14, 2020. It will finally reveal the truth behind what happened after Elf massacre and the death of first Wizard King.

2. Episode 117 Speculation

Episode 117th will be following the events of chapter 202 from the Black Clover manga. The last episode ended in a shock to the audience with Asta’s bird SPEAKING to Finral. She asked Finral to take her to the skull of the ancient demon.

MANGA SPOILERS: Episode 117 will showcase Nero going to the statue of the first Wizard King and breaking his seal. YES, first Wizard King is alive. Nero’s real name is Secre Swallowtail and she is a user of ancient sealing magic.

She is also the servant of Lemiel Silvamillion Clover aka the first Wizard King. It was Lemiel himself who asked Nero to seal him after the battle with the ancient demon.

The truth is after the fight with the ancient demon(Licht), both Licht and Lemiel realise about the demon of kotodama magic, and knew that he will act again. Lemiel sealed himself in the statue while Licht awaited for the resurrection.

Secre Swallowtail or Nero was given the task to break the seal so that both of them could fight the demon and save the Clover Kingdom when the time comes.

3. Episode 116 ‘The Ultimate Natural Enemy’ Plot

Chapter 116, titled ‘The Ultimate Natural Enemy’ starts with Asta fighting Patry in his dark elf form. Just when Asta is about to be overwhelmed by Patry’s strongest attack, Yuno comes to his aid and they both fend off the magic together. This takes a toll on Asta, rendering him out of his demon mode.

However, this was nowhere near the end as the sinister magic is increasing inside Patry every second, he uses the same spell again only to be blocked by Nozel Silva. At long last, Nozel gets his chance on revenge for his rival Fuegoleon.

Nozel proves his might as a Magic Knights captain and a contender of the title of Wizard King. He completely overwhelms Patry’s dark elf form without even breaking a sweat. Asta and Yuno ask for a chance to save Vangeance body by using anti-magic.

In the end, Asta saves Patry from his state of despair. We also see Yami, Licht, and Charolette’s elf counterpart fighting the Devil of Kotodama magic. The episode then ends with a shocking revelation with Nero asking Finral to take her to the skull of the ancient demon.
