Black Clover Chapter 293: Release Date, Spoilers, Discussion

In chapter 292, we saw that Zora teaches Magna the science and anatomy of their world. Even though it’s quite hard to imagine, but Magna studies earnestly and develops his ultimate formula that we see him using against Dante in chapter 291.

The 292nd chapter of the manga felt quite big, honestly, and in a good way. Lately, Black Clover manga has been fighting a lot but the tides started to shift after Asta’s fight was over.

Last week’s chapter not only showed how Magna came up with the spell but also explained how low-class mages like Magna and Zora can use Mana Method. It was also confirmed that Zora’s superstrong magic arrays were indeed Mana Method.

1. Chapter 293 Predictions

From the looks of it chapter 293 can go in either of the two ways:

A. Magna Beats Dante, But…

Magna has always been an underdog but his new spell – Secret Flame Magic: Soul Chain Death Match – does seem to have a lot of gusto to it. What started as a fight between an enemy boss and a low-level Magic Knight has now turned into a street-level dogfight.

Even though it looks like Magna will win in a dogfight because of his delinquent-like portrayal, Dante was also one of the common men who had to fight for their lives every day. And, his gravity magic-powered punches seem to pack a lot of heat.

That’s why I think Magna will beat Dante, BUT something will happen. Something like Lucifero has been the big boss all along and Dante’s defeat will just unleash Lucifero from the underworld.

B. Dante Beats Magna

While this outcome seems more plausible given the vast difference in their abilities, Magna has been known to shake things up when needed.

On top of this, Magna has always been portrayed as a hot-headed above-average Magic Knight who has nothing more to him than his grit. After being undermined for so long, Magna finally had a chapter for him and even Zora claims that Magna would win.

Hence, I think Black Clover manga will likely follow Route A.

2. Chapter 293 Release Date

It is published under Shonen Jump magazine, a weekly magazine that comes out every Sunday. Black Clover manga is on a break this week and will be released in next week’s issue.

Chapter 293 of the Black Clover manga has been released on Sunday, May 23, 2021 at 9:30 am PDT. The chapter title has not been leaked yet.

5. Chapter 292 Plot

The chapter starts with Magna begging Zora to teach him “Zora’s way of fighting.” He explains how his training in the Heart Kingdom ended with a conclusion that Magna’s mana is far too low to be using Mana Method. However, Zora has used the unique spell a number of times and succeeded even with his low mana.

Zora brings Magna to his “secret base” where there are a lot of research papers and tell him that he’s looking for his strongest version as well since Zora can’t use the Mana Method either.

He claims that low-class Magic Knights have one advantage – a Mana Method created by low mana won’t disappear because it’s too weak to be dissolved. This means that Magna can create a super-complicated spell and it’ll stay with him.

The Secret Flame Magic: Soul Chain Death Match divides the powers between two mages into two equal halves. Dante then attacks Magna using gravity attacks but he’s able to endure it because of their mana being same.

The fight still seems hard for Magna due to Dante’s regeneration but we all know he’s not gonna lose!
