Black Clover Chapter 279: Release Date, Spoilers, Discussion

Chapter 277 of the Black Clover was absolutely amazing! It’s about time that Yuno got a massive power-up. The moment when Zenon realizes that Yuno is not controlling the mana but is loved by mana itself was spectacularly placed in my opinion.

Anyway, coming back to chapter 279, it’s going to be EPIC. We will get to see how much actual damage did Jack’s attack do to Dante.

Raw scans and spoilers for chapter 279 have been leaked and the rough translation goes like this:

The next chapter will take the focus away from Jack and shift it back to Lady Lioness Mereoleona! We see the Spade Knights getting bamboozled as they see Mereoleona defeating the ancient demon all by herself. After this, we see a glimpse of each fight happening in the Spade palace.

Just when everything seemed fine and the Clover Knights were about to defeat the Dark Triad, Nacht senses ominous mana coming from the basement. Apparently, Morris from the Diamond Kingdom found a way to accelerate the growth of the Qlipoth tree using Lolopechka.

The gate has opened half-way and two high-class devils begin their attack against the Clover forces.

I. Asta x Liebe’s Training Continues!

Chapter 273 ends with Nacht putting his faith in Asta and Liebe as he leaves Gimodelo with them so that they could train and rush back to the battlefield.

Nacht assures in chapter 273 that Asta and Liebe’s duo WILL become the strongest of all. Hopefully, we will have a proper look at the Devil Union by the end of chapter 279 or 280.

II. Noelle & The Ultimate Magic!

I know I know! It has nothing to do with Asta’s battle with the devil but you have to admit, you cannot not talk about the Ultimate magic.

Even though the Noelle-squad survived Vanica’s devastating spell, we know they are not nearly strong enough to go head-to-head with the menacing devil, let alone beat her, especially considering the strength Yami and Asta had to unleash to defeat Dante.

However, if the leader of elves says he can, I believe him! As to what this special and known-to-a-few magic spell, Ultimate magic, is – I have a considerable theory.

We know how much elves are loved by mana, and the power brought upon by natural mana has been shown on many occasions around Gaja, Lolopechka, and even Licht himself.

Therefore, just like Mana Skin had an upgrade (Mana Zone), Ultimate magic will likely be a much-advanced form of using natural mana and creating arrays.

It is published under Shonen Jump magazine, a weekly magazine that comes out every Sunday. Black Clover manga is not on a break and will be released in this week’s issue.

Chapter 279 of the Black Clover manga has been released on Sunday, Jan 24, 2021 at 9:30 am PDT. The chapter title has not been leaked yet.

Chapter 278 of the Black Clover manga, titled “Undying Bodies,” was released this week and started with the epic fight between Dante and the unlikely duo (Nacht & Jack).

Dante boasts-off his new ‘body’ created by the mad Diamond Kingdom scientist and begins to attack Nacht and Jack with his full might. He unleashes his gravitational might which leaves Jack kissing the floor in one go! Nacht, on the other hand, goes the ‘union’ way and tries to hold his ground against the Spade King.

After this, we see a small flashback about Jack’s childhood. His father died fighting against a HUGE bear in the mountains whom Jack defeated on that very day.

Jack begins to surpass his limits just like everyone else and grows scythes on his own body that are able to cut through Dante’s ominous magic!
