Black Clover Chapter 255: Release Date, Predictions, Delay, Updates

While the people thought it to be like every other shonen anime around the corner, Yūki Tabata’s Black Clover has been distinguishing itself since the beginning of Elf Resurrection arc.

Recently, the manga is following the events of Spade Kingdom arc as the Dante and Vanica are hunting for arcane stage mages.

In the last chapter, we saw the might of the curse-devil, Megicula. In case you didn’t notice, Megicula singlehandedly defeated Noelle, Nero’s amped-up sealing magic, Lolopechka, and cursed Undine (a water spirit) at the same time!

I have some speculations, and expected plots, including the raw scans and spoilers for the next one (chapter 255) that you guys would definitely wanna know!

1. Chapter 255 Release Date

Chapter 255 of the Black Clover manga will be released on Sunday, June 28, 9:30 am PDT. The title for the upcoming chapter has not yet been released.

In the next chapter, we will see Noelle’s battle against Vanica & Megicula; Lolopechka and Mimosa will likely join in as well.

Black Clover manga is published under Shonen Jump magazine, a weekly magazine that comes out every Sunday.

2. Is Black Clover On a Break This Week?

Chapter 255 of the Black Clover manga is not on a break this week. It will continue in the 30th issue of the Weekly Shonen Jump on Sunday, June 28, at 9:30 am PDT.

4. Chapter 255 Raw Scans, Leaks

Raw scans for Chapter 255 of the Black Clover came out recently. The cover for Black Clover 25 was also revealed.

Black Clover chapter 255 will be titled [based on rough translations] Exploding Life. It will start with Noelle stabbing Vanica from her Valkyrie Dress lance, but failing to manage a fatal blow.

Apparently, she calculated that! She shots up a point-blank “Sea Dragon’s Roar” on Vanica while the latter defends with her Blood magic: Crimson beast.

Vanica begins to claim that Noelle’s attack didn’t affect her but ends up coughing blood. She acknowledges Noelle’s strength and asks for her name, Noelle Silva, a Royal of the Clover Kingdom, and a Magic Knight of the Black Bulls.

Vanica tells Noelle that she remembers now, she once fought Noelle’s mother – Acier Silva. She decides to take Lolopechka a hostage instead of killing her. Vanica tells Noelle that her mother became “very strong” when the former took children as hostages, so she will take Lolopechka a hostage to make Noelle strong and then fight her.

She then decides to get out of Heart Kingdom and leaves a special gift behind. Vanica cast a magic spell, [rough translation] Curse Magic: Exploding Life – that would make the devil powers in the Dark Disciples to explode, thus destroying the Heart Kingdom.

The final panels will shift the focus back to Yami vs. Dante. Yami manages to land a blow on Dante again to which Dante tells Yami the true power of a Devil-possessed human.

4. Chapter 255 Speculations/ Predictions

So, we all know what’s going on here, right? Dante almost killed Gauche and hurt his friends, thus making Asta his adversary. The same goes for Zenon and Yuno, as Yuno vows to take revenge for the fallen members of Golden Dawn.

It’s turn for Noelle’s final opponent for the Spade Kingdom arc. It will be Vanica and Megicula, who cursed Acier Silva and Lolopechka.

I. Noelle & Gang vs. Vanica x Megicula

The showdown between Noelle, Lolopechka, and Vanica is something that is getting more epic every passing second. Now, it is safe to say that the victory won’t go to the ‘good’ team.

Even though Lolopechka is believed to be stronger than Yami, her current emotional state and Undine being cursed do not look very promising. The possibility of Black Clover 255, turning the tides of the battle is very minuscule.

II. Dark Disciples vs. Clover Knights

It is highly unlikely that Tabata will shift the focus at such a crucial moment. But if he does, we will definitely see some more PLUS ULTRA stuff there.

6. Chapter 254 Recap

Chapter 254, “Power Differential,” starts with Nero (Secre Swallowtail) ALMOST sealing off Vanica, but falling a little short. We see that even after the seal is “completed,” Lolopechka’s curse doesn’t vanish.

Enters Megicula! Megicula – the curse-devil, explains that he managed to nullify Secre’s sealing magic using her Curse Warding magic: Decaying World. On the contrary, Megicula activates Lolo’s curse, curses Undine, and seals Nero in her own array.

The chapter ends with Noelle trying to attack Megicula x Vanica out of anger. The final panel shows a silhouette of Noelle’s lance through Vanica’s body.
