While the people thought it to be like every other shonen anime around the corner, Yūki Tabata’s Black Clover has been distinguishing itself since the beginning of Elf Resurrection arc.
Recently, the manga is following the events of Spade Kingdom arc as the Dante and Vanica are hunting for arcane stage mages.
The last chapter was in true manner an EPIC battle between Vanica and the duo of Lolopechka and Noelle. It ended with Noelle & gang successfully sealing Vanica by Nero’s new sealing magic – Mana Method Eternal Prison!
I have some speculations and expected plots, including the raw scans and spoilers for the next one (chapter 254) that you guys would definitely wanna know!
1. Chapter 254 Release Date
Chapter 254 of the Black Clover manga will be released on Sunday, June 21, 9:30 am PDT. The title for the upcoming chapter has not yet been released.
In the next chapter, we will see whether Vanica will be able to get out of Nero’s Mana Method: Eternal Prison or she is trapped for good.
Black Clover manga is published under Shonen Jump magazine, which is a weekly magazine that comes out every Sunday.
2. Is Black Clover On a Break This Week?
Chapter 254 of the Black Clover manga is not on a break this week. It will continue in the 29th issue of the Weekly Shonen Jump on Sunday, June 21, 9:30 am PDT.
The manga was on a break last week as Tabata took a one-week off, to which the entire fandom was very happy. You can read about that in the link below.
3. Chapter 254 Raw Scans, Leaks & Spoilers
Black Clover chapter 254 raw scans came out recently and proved that it is nearly impossible to seal a devil of Megicula’s stature. The rough translation goes as follows:
Even if Megicula is sealed, Loropechka’s curse doesn’t disappear. Megicula appears, taking over half of Vanica’s body. She says humans are exciting and she didn’t expect someone to be able to ALMOST seal her.
Megicula binds Nero with her magic. Megicula’s magic spell is Curse-Warding Magic: Decaying World, which dispells any magic that would affect her.
In Megicula’s presence, Loropechka grows weak. Vanica is angry Megicula interrupted, but Megicula tells her to shut up.
Megicula also puts a curse on Undine and she begins to disappear.
Vanica says that Loropechka is done. They decide to be merciful and end her suffering. Before Megicula and Vanica kill Loro, Noelle attacks them and continues trying to fight.
Vanica doesn’t seem to care about Noelle, but Megicula stops in her tracks. Megi recognizes Noelle.

4. Chapter 254 Speculations/ Predictions
So, we all know what’s going on here, right? Dante almost killed Gauche and hurt his friends, thus making Asta his adversary. The same goes for Zenon and Yuno, as Yuno vows to avenge the fallen members of Golden Dawn.
I. Vanica Sealed
Chapter 243 ended with Nero sealing Vanica with her Eternal Prison – the same magic she usd hundreds of years ago to seal Zagred (the devil of Kotodama magic).
It can be safely speculated that no matter how gorgeously powerful this quartet (Nero, Noelle, Mimosa, Lolopechka) is, they are not going to seal away the primary antagonist of Spade Kingdom arc just yet.
However, it will interesting to see how Tabata sensei will manage to un-seal Vanica all the while not undermining the power up of Noelle and Nero.
II. Dark Disciples vs. Clover Knights
It is highly unlikely that Tabata will shift the focus at such a crucial moment. But if he does, we will definitely see some more PLUS ULTRA stuff there.

6. Chapter 253 Recap
Chapter 243, titled “Bloodshed,” starts with Noelle impaling Vanica in her new Valkyrie Dress – Mermaid form. However, Vanica, ever-rotten-personality as we know her, is unfazed by the attack and keeps amping up the devil’s power.
Noelle and Lolopechka continue to attack while Vanica continues to increase her threshold (at 60% now). The next panel shows Mimosa being assaulted by the tongue-magic Dark Disciple. Subsequently, Noelle and Mimosa remember Lolo’s confession during training about her fear of death.
They both decide to give their all to this fight as Vanica reaches 70%(the maximum she can do at the moment). Vanica begins to launch an attack with 70% of Megicula’s power. While we were at the edge of our seats, Tabata did it again!!!
It was a trap by Lolopechka, Noelle, and Mimosa – they wanted Vanica to use a maximum of her power so that the former trio could use their trump card.
Enters Secre Swallowtail, aka Nero, with her new spell – Mana Method, Sealing Magic: Eternal Prison. The chapter ends with Nero sealing Vanica.

Black Clover is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Yūki Tabata. It has been serialized in Shueisha’s Weekly Shōnen Jump magazine since February 16, 2015.
The story centers around Asta, a young boy seemingly born without any magic power, something that is unknown in the world he lives in. With his fellow mages from the Black Bulls, Asta plans to become the next Wizard King.
