While the people thought it to be like every other shonen anime around the corner, Yūki Tabata’s Black Clover has been distinguishing itself since the beginning of Elf Resurrection arc.
Recently, the manga is following the events of Spade Kingdom arc as the Dante and Vanica are hunting for arcane stage mages.
The last chapter was all about Vanica’s introduction as the Queen of the Spade Kingdom, the host of the ‘curse devil,’ Megicua, and of course, one of the most twisted entities in Black Clover.
I have some speculations and expected plots, including the raw scans and spoilers for the next one (chapter 252) that I want to share with all of you!
1. Chapter 252 Release Date & Highlights
Chapter 252 of the Black Clover manga will release on Sunday, May 31, at 9:30 am PDT. The title for the upcoming chapter has not yet been released.
In the next chapter, we will see the fight between queens and princesses — Noelle & Mimosa, royal-princesses of the Clover, Lolopechka, Queen of the Heart vs. Vanica, the Queen of Spade Kingdom.
2. Is Black Clover On A Break This Week?
No, chapter 252 of the Black Clover manga is not on a break this week. It will continue in the 26th issue of the Weekly Shonen Jump on Sunday, May 31, at 9:30 am PDT.
3. Chapter 252 Raw Scans
Raw scans for chapter 252 of the Black Clover manga came out recently.
The next chapter will be an epic battle between Queen Lolopechka & Noelle vs. Vanica. The raw scans show Noelle in a new water-based armor – Valkyrie Armor: Mermaid form. Noelle-chan not only looks gorgeous in that but has a massive underwater power-boost as well.
Final panel shows that Noelle has managed to pierce Vanica as she coughs up some blood and smiles (oh, that wicked smile!). Chapter 243 is going to be even more epic!

5. Chapter 252 Expected & Speculations
So, we all know what’s going on here, right? Dante almost killed Gauche and hurt his friends, thus making Asta his adversary. The same goes for Zenon and Yuno, as Yuno vows to take revenge for the fallen members of Golden Dawn.
Now, it’s turn for Noelle’s final opponent for the Spade Kingdom arc, and it will be Vanica, who cursed Acier Silva and Lolopechka.
I. Noelle & Gang vs. Vanica
The showdown between Noelle, Lolopechka, and Vanica is something we all have been waiting for. Now, it is safe to say that the victory won’t go to the ‘good’ team.
But, this could very well be changed since we saw Yami manhandling Dante, and Lolopechka is definitely stronger than Yami.
The next chapter could also be a very emotional chapter for Noelle, because, for the first time in her life she is as close to the reason behind her mother’s death as a person can be.
II. Dark Disciples vs. Clover Knights
It is highly unlikely that Tabata will shift the focus at such a crucial moment. But if he does, we will definitely see some more PLUS ULTRA stuff there.

6. Chapter 251, “The Cursed Devil” Recap
Chapter 251, titled “The Cursed Devil,” took some unexpected turns. The chapter was a well-crafted masterpiece Tabata is known for. It introduced Vanica and explained the plot holes of previous chapters.
Page 251 starts with Gaja defeating a Dark Disciple with relative ease (well, duh!). Back at the castle, Lolopechka, Noelle, and Mimosa are happy that DD’s have been defeated.
Lolopechka exclaims that “It’s in actual combat that the Magic Knights of the Clover Kingdom truly evolve!!”
(I think she meant, “They have surpassed their limits yet again!”)
The next page shows another Dark Disciple (with tongue magic) attacking these three but is defeated by Mimosa instead.
Enters Vanica, the third member of Dark Triad, host to Megicula, and the Queen of the Spade Kingdom! She activates her curse, and all the undead Dark Disciples are alive and kicking again.

While the Magic Knights are ready to surpass their limits again, Vanica announces that she did all this just to ensure Lolopechka fights with interest. Chapter 251 ends here, next up, Noelle, Mimosa, Lolopechka vs. Vanica & Megicula.
7. About Black Clover
Black Clover is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Yūki Tabata. It has been serialized in Shueisha’s Weekly Shōnen Jump magazine since February 16, 2015.
The story centers around Asta, a young boy seemingly born without any magic power, something that is unknown in the world he lives in. With his fellow mages from the Black Bulls, Asta plans to become the next Wizard King.
