Black Clover is a manga that has time and again left us on incredible cliffhangers. The latest chapter of Black Clover also left us quite perplexed and eager for the next chapter’s release.
In the last chapter of Black Clover, Luck and other Clover Knights face the dark disciples of Vanica in combat. Until Vanica arrived, the Magic Knights seemed to be getting the upper hand.
All the Stage Zero Dark Disciples of Vanica were already proving themselves to be quite a hefty lot but even then, they had been pushed back up until chapter 250.
As Chapter 251 progresses, Vanica enters the scene. She is one of the Dark Triad and is the host of the demon Megicula. Noelle informs her that all her minions are dead and it will be a vain fight. However, the Dark Disciples are suddenly revived at the presence of Vanica, much to everyone’s horror.
This particular scene gives rise to the question: Are Vanica’s Dark Disciples Immortal? But how can that be correct?
Because as soon as Vanica arrives, the Dark Disciple who had been defeated by Lolopechika and Mimosa revives and thanks her saying:
“I’m grateful, Lady Vanica. Thanks to you, I feel good again and again”
Thus, the influence of Vanica in the revival of these beings is clearly visible.
Vanica admits that she put Megicula’s curse on them so that no matter how many times they are killed, they won’t die. But that does not mean these Dark Disciples are immortal; they seem more like zombies. But even so, there is still hope to kill them, since they can sustain injuries.
Vanica even demonstrates the curse on her undead soldiers by severely wounding one of her minions, but he rose again. In the last page of the chapter, Vanica confesses that no matter how many times the Dark Disciples are injured, they will keep coming back unless she is exterminated.
As daunting as the task might seem, there seems to be hope. With the powers of Lolopechka, Noelle and Mimosa, it might be possible to defeat Vanica and vanquish the Stage Zero squad.
