While people thought it was like every other shonen anime around the corner, Yūki Tabata’s Black Clover has been distinguishing itself since the beginning of Elf Resurrection arc.
Recently, the manga is following the events of Spade Kingdom arc as the Dante and Vanica are hunting for arcane stage mages.
After Dante’s epic fight with Yami, the manga’s focus just shifted to the events of the Heart Kingdom in chapter 247, which left all of us wondering about the next one!
1. Chapter 248 Release Date & Highlights
Black Clover chapter 248 will be released on Sunday, April 26, 2020. The chapter is titled “Luck VS Svenkin.” In the next chapter, we will see Luck gathering up his energy and the spirit of a Magic Knight to fight against Svenkin.
Black Clover manga is published under Shueisha’s Shonen Jump, which is a weekly magazine that comes out every Sunday.

The raw scans for chapter 248 of Black Clover came out recently. It starts with Luck and Magna training with Gaja and looks like Magna is no good at learning the natural mana.
On the contrary, Luck is able to create the rune spells with ease. He gets disappointed and storms off.
The focus shifts back to Luck vs Svenkin! Luck charges at Svenkin and lands a kick on his face — from which Svenkin is unaffected.
Luck charges up his manga, creates a multi-layer rune spell and shoots himself at Svenkin(GOOSEBUMPS!).
And there it is, Luck manages to defeat the Dark Disciple!
4. Chapter 248 Speculations/Predictions
While a lot of things can be predicted for the next chapter, I will keep the predictions about Black Bull Vice-Captain and Yami vs. Dante out of the discussion since we will see some more of Heart Kingdom for sure.
Luck vs. Svenkin
Chapter 247 ended with Luck getting back up for round 2 against the dark disciple. We will likely see the true results of Luck’s growth over the past six month’s training with Gaja as he beats Svenkin.
The reason for this theory is quite a sample. Gaja is the strongest lightning mage in the entire Black Clover universe, while Luck, for sure, is going to steal this title away from him in the Spade Kingdom arc. Hence, this is the best moment for Luck to prove his metal.
The Other Dark Disciples
While the dark disciples beat down the Spirit Guardians — strongest warriors of the Heart Kingdom, it is not likely to be a work of one mage. Therefore I believe, we will see at least 2 more dark disciples close to the level of Svenkin, if not stronger.
Other Clover Magic Knights
Just like Luck, we have strong evidence to believe that Leopold Vermillion will surpass his elder brother and sister as a fire mage.
It is also reasonable to say that Tabata sensei shifted the course of battle to the Heart Kingdom to show us the growth of other Magic Knights.
Hence, we might see at least one of the four Magic Knights — Leopold Vermillion, Finral Roulcase, Charmy Pappiston & Rill Boismortier, if not all of them at once!

6. Chapter 247, “Battlefield: Heart Kingdom” Plot
Black Clover chapter 247, titled “Battlefield: Heart Kingdom,” was released recently. Shattering all the speculations and predictions about Dante, Yami, and whatnot, chapter 247 shifted all of the focus to the Heart Kingdom.
It starts with some of the Heart Kingdom residents running around in a panic, hoping that their Princess, Lolopechka, would save them.
The next panel shows Lolocpechka in distress since the strongest warriors of the Heart Kingdom – the Spirit Guardians were beaten by mere dark disciples of Vanica.
Just when she is about to call Luck and Leopold back, Noelle stops her by asking her to trust in the Clover Kingdom mages.
We see a dark disciple next, named Svenkin, who is apparently Vanica’s favorite and can summon the devil’s power to an astonishing 50%.
After defeating a spirit guardian, Svenkin tries to kill some Heart residents, who are saved by our lightning boy — Luck Voltia. Much to our disappointment, Luck’s attacks don’t work on Svenkin since his magic allows him to soften and harden his body on will. On the contrary, he keeps on beating Luck back and forth.
At the end of the chapter, as Luck tries to get back up, Svenkin asks him to give up and run back to his Kingdom. To which, Luck says that he will protect the Heart Kingdom residents because he is a Magic Knight!

Black Clover is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Yūki Tabata. It has been serialized in Shueisha’s Weekly Shōnen Jump magazine since February 16, 2015, and has been collected into 22 tankōbon volumes.
The story centers around Asta, a young boy seemingly born without any magic power, something that is unknown in the world he lives in. With his fellow mages from the Black Bulls, Asta plans to become the next Wizard King.
