The chapter title is ‘The Vice-Captain of the Black Bulls.’ Nacht Faus appears in his Equus form and stops Asta from going alone into the battle. Yuno and Mereoleona are still fighting with Lucifero, but he suffers no damage.The second gate is revealed, and it is named Adramelech. Lucifero is frustrated with Yuno and Mereoleona and orders Adramelech to finish them while he goes to kill Asta. Adramelech but don’t obey his orders as she prefers watching him fight.
In the battle, Mereoleona turns to Mana as she cannot keep her physical form. Nacht makes his move and traps Lucifero with Union mode and his Canis x Equus form. Asta tries an attack on Lucifero from behind, but he breaks free from the trap.
Nacht has used up all his energy to keep up the Union mode. Nacht apologizes to Morgen, and when Lucifero comes forth to attack him, he is saved by Yami right at the nick of time.

Sekke complains about the king, the legendary demon, and the giant mass of monsters, but the devil before him trumps all of those. He sees Yuno fighting Lucifero, and he wonders how.
Lucifero asks Yuno to give Asta back to him. Yuno disagrees, and Lucifero punches him, but Yuno comes up from behind and hits him with a sword. Yuno can’t cut him since there is a significant difference between their magical capabilities.
Mereoleona tries to punch him but gets blasted away. She and Yuno take a go at Lucifero together. Lucifero notes that Mereoleona’s strength just keeps increasing.
Sekke wonders how Yuno was so powerful when they joined as magic knights together. He spots Mimosa and immediately gets to flirting. Mimosa tries to heal Asta with her magic, but Sekke asks her to run away with him.
Mimosa asks Sekke to shut up and wonders about taking Asta and running away from here. Mimosa’s spell comes undone, and Asta’s in no shape to fight. She tells him that, but Asta doesn’t care.
Sekke now remembers Asta and how he used to make fun of him. He tries to stop Asta from going because he’s so weak and wonders why he didn’t try to grow stronger as Asta did.
With his broken body, Asta tells Yuno that he’s on his way.
