After giving fans anxiety continuously for weeks, Tabata-sensei has finally freed Yami. Chapter 316 of Black Clover shows Lucifero’s form spitting out Yami like dry chewing gum after Asta sliced it in half.
Yami was held back as a sacrifice for the Tree of Qliphoth. His energy was slowly being drained, and soon he would’ve faced irreparable damage if the next gates were opened.
Since he acted as a core to the portal, he looks pretty roughed up.
Still, when Asta used the Demon Slasher, it didn’t harm Yami, and out he came like a freshly laid egg.
Both Vangeance and Yami are now free from the clutches of the Dark Triad as well as the whole family of evil demons.
They look exhausted, and I doubt they can even stand straight, but the return of the captains will definitely increase the morale of the Black Bulls and the Golden Dawn.
While Yami started speaking as soon as he made a landing, William’s absence is increasingly worrying. His limp form had fallen to the ground, and he still hasn’t spoken a word. Were the Black Bulls too late to save him?
It is entirely possible that William’s energy was sucked out faster than Yami’s.
Now that Yami and Vangeance are safe, the Tree of Qliphoth might not stay open and allow more devils through it. I doubt Lucidero has given up so soon.
The hero winning against the boss enemy in a single fight is unheard of. Will Lucifero manifest in his actual body in the next chapter?
