Birdie Wing was an unexpected hit this year, given that golf is not a thrilling sport like others, making the anime less exciting. However, everyone was proved wrong as the story added some great elements like the mafia and various struggles players go through.
The protagonists, Eve and Aoi, are well-written characters with opposite backgrounds and personalities but working toward the same goal. Such a dynamic always attracts a huge audience that asks for more, and the franchise has that part sorted out.
At a preview screening for the Birdie Wing anime, the staff streamed the first promo video for the show’s second season, slated for an April 2023 debut. Crunchyroll will stream the anime globally as it airs in Japan.
The video compiles various scenes of Eve and Aoi from the anime, including the pair’s relationship inside and outside the game. Both of them highly respect each other and fellow players, practice a healthy rivalry, and are incredibly close friends otherwise.
Besides that, the trailer also previews the anime’s opening and ending theme songs for season 2. For the opening theme, Kohmi Hirose is coming back from season 1 to perform the Venus Line track.
Meanwhile, the ending theme song is titled ‘Kimi ga Iru Kara’ (Since You’re Here) and will be performed by Sarasa Kadowaki. The ED is also previewed in the trailer above and is a score worthy of your playlist.
