Billy The Kid season 2 is inspired by the life of America’s most influential outlaw and is heating up with each episode.
Written by the talented Michael Hirst, the show stars Tom Blyth as Billy, Daniel Webber as Jesse Evans, and Eileen O’Higgins as Kathleen.
This week’s episode is iconic because it finally sees the start of the Lincoln County War after a lot of tension between Murphy, Tunstall, and their enforcer cowboys.
In an ironic turn of events, Jesse Evans kills Tunstall, and Billy vows to seek revenge by killing each and everyone responsible for the massacre.
The episode ends in a shocking twist as Tunstall reveals that he’s still alive, having faked his death with the help of Dulcinea and McSween.
So, what can we expect from episode 4? Let’s discuss!
1. Episode 4 Synopsis/Speculation
The elephant in the room for next week’s episode is how Billy will react when he finds out about Tunstall’s fake death.
After an initial wave of relief, I expect Billy to become skeptical about Tunstall’s motives. He might start questioning his own identity, as well as the loyalty of Tunstall and the Regulators. Tunstall must explain his scheme to expose Murphy and Catron’s corruption to avoid unnecessary suspicions.
Furthermore, Tunstall might also declare his amorous feelings for Dulcinea and create an awkward love triangle between the two and Billy.
Elsewhere, Jesse will be furious and shocked when the news of Tunstall’s treachery reaches him. I think he will suspect Brewer and McSween as possible traitors.
Finally, Kathleen will continue her quest to try and persuade Billy to give up on violence and start a new life.
I think she will face resistance from Murphy and Jesse, who believe that she’s weakening Billy.
With the start of the war in episode 3, the show has just started to heat up. The final half of the season will surely be a blast!
