Sofia and her maid seem to be plotting something sinister. Sofia is jealous of Eliana because Theodore gives Eliana more attention than her. Regarding Sofia’s maid, something seems off about her. We might learn more about the maid’s intentions in the upcoming episodes.

Recap of Episode 7
Irvine tells Eliana that she is not what he had expected of her. Eliana, the brain of Sauslind, was on the verge of tears when confronted by Hayden.
In Miseral Dukedom, Chris is informed about the unidentified thieves crossing the border and gathering in the Eidel Domain. Since Eliana got some free time in the afternoon, she excitedly reads a book in the Kreis family library.
She hears Lady Anna rejecting Owain. Anna asks Owain about the mistakes made by King Karl during his reign. She further says that if Owain knew the answer, he would know how vague his actions are in the present.
Hearing Eliana’s response to the question, Owain feels insulted and proceeds to attack Eliana, who knocks him down with the book in her hand and then kicks him in the groin area.
It seems that Theodore, Irvin, and Alan were witnessing the incident. Then they hear the scream of the ladies. Lilia tells Eliana that they saw the ghost of Eidel in the old castle. Theodore asks Lady Kreis to take the young ladies somewhere safe to rest.
Theodore rejects Sofia upon asking him to be with her as she is scared. Irvine whispers to Eliana praising her kick toward Owain. Theodore calls Anna and Eliana to talk, which is not taken well by Sofia.
Theodore asks her to be careful as some people think she is an easy target when Chris is not around.
Coming to the history of the Eidel Domain, before becoming an area under the direct control of the royal family, Duke Siade rebelled against the royal family attacking the Edea Frontier by joining hands with Maldura and had planned to attack Saoura, the capital city.
Theodore mentions that he had once met the daughter, Lady Siade, who looked like Eliana. Lady Slade is supposedly the “ghost of Eidel.”
Alan passes the message sent by Chris, saying, “You should just be yourself, Eli.” Hearing this, Eliana feels euphoric and prays for his good health. Chris defeats and restrains the bandits.
He tells Glen that his front-line shadows are sent for Eliana’s protection, shocking Glen. Glen consoles Chris as he is restless regarding Eliana’s safety.
Sofia makes a plan with her maid. Eliana asks Jean to help Caroline, who is in danger because the horse she is riding is out of control. Meanwhile, Irvine saves Eliana when a wild boar hits the horse she is riding. Caroline is grateful to Eliana, which angers Sofia.

Bibliophile Princess is a light novel series by Yui which was serialized from 2015 to 2022. It has also received a manga adaptation which is illustrated by Yui.
The plot follows Elianne, a bookworm who is engaged to the prince of the country. She thinks that it is a marriage of convenience, and the prince lets her read books in the palace to her heart’s content.
