Starfield is the new hot topic, slated to release on September 6th, 2023. Starfield is Bethesda’s first new IP in over 25 years and is hotly anticipated.
Earlier, the developers had confirmed that there would be mod support from day one. NexusMods, a famous mods forum, already has its website dedicated to Starfield mods ahead of the game’s release with active contributors.
Now, Starfield’s Steam EULA hints that Creation Club will be present in the game, either at launch or will be included in an update in the future. Players can install mods using this feature.
An interesting thing to note about this feature is that players can install many free and paid mods to their Bethesda titles using the Creation Club.
Creation Club was seen earlier in Fallout 4 and The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim and was available on PC and consoles. A widely disliked feature was the “Creation Credits” requirement to acquire some official Bethesda add-ons.
Many fans are displeased at this. This is because when the Creation Club was initially launched, the individual pieces of content were priced very high.
For example, back in the day, a single new weapon in Skyrim could cost a player anywhere between USD 2 to 4. Another reason why fans are against the Creative Club concept is that the modding community works on more substantial content and distributes it for free daily.
That is why many fans have been wondering about the need for Bethesda to get involved with this aspect of modding in such a direct way.
This aligns with Bethesda’s claims that Starfield will be “a modder’s paradise. Fans believe that the modding community will “blow people away with their creations.”
Players, who have purchased the Constellation edition of Starfield, will get to live the vast universe Bethesda has created on September 1st via early access on their Xbox and PC.
