Once Human has several useful resources, including Iron Ore. It won’t be available from the beginning itself but in due time, the mineral will be accessible. Thanks to the nature of the game, you will have to really look all over the land to find it. Now, we don’t have all the time in the world, do we?
Iron Ore is a pretty common mineral. You can find plenty in the Iron River zone in Broken Delta. Don’t worry about how to reach this spot, just defeat the Treant inside the Gaia Monolith and you will be sent there.
Farming Iron Ore in Once Human
You can only spot Iron Ore after arriving at the Iron River. The protruding minable ores are pretty easy to spot with their bright orange streaks. They can be located either on grass or on rocky terrain.
Before beginning your shopping spree, make sure you have a Bronze Pickaxe. You need the following to craft a Bronze Pickaxe:
- x7 Bronze Ingots
- x5 Logs
- x1 Hide
Prior to unlocking and crafting the Bronze Pickaxe, you have to unlock its Memetic under the Infrastructure section of the Memetics menu.
Having a motorcycle also makes traversing this area easier.
The best Iron Ore farming spots are Highland, Overlook Lumberyard and Ransacked Camp. These places are filled with iron nodes so go crazy!
What can you do with Iron Ore?
Iron Ore can be used to make Steel Ingots along with Charcoal. The latter ingredient is made using Wood through the Furnace. So, make sure you have unlocked the Forging Techniques Memetic too.
