Amazon’s New World is the latest take on a classless MMORPG. A classless MMORPG means that the players are not bound to a specific class of role they are supposed to play in a company during PvP and PvE battles, which hinders the presence of a perfect Healer build.
With no default loadout and build for a Healer, it can get tricky for the players to decide the best skills and weapons to wield, while operating as a healer to support their teammates in intense battles.
The best Healer builds in the New World featured here are “The Shaman,” “The Heal Thrower,” and “The Cleric.” These builds focus majorly on providing a strong combination of supporting and attacking abilities to provide the maximum output in a PvE or PvP scenario.
The Shaman
“The Shaman” is a healer build that uses Ice Gauntlet as a secondary weapon for ice attacks on a battlefield. The Gauntlet provides necessary skills like slow and mana regeneration to increase the endurance of your company in both PvP and PvE battles. The role of the Shaman is to heal its allies and debuff its enemies mostly.
Ice Gauntlet’s passive abilities can also do significant damage to the enemies to make sure you can hold your ground in an intense battle. Spend your attribute points mostly on Focus and Intelligence or Constitution to make yourself more buff.
I. Primary Weapon: Life Staff
Life staff is the primary weapon in all the Healer builds as it is the only weapon that employs healing and protective magic effects under its Healing and Protector skill trees. It is a ranged weapon, mainly used for support, and excels in keeping your company alive.
i. Active skills
- Splash of Light (Healing): Heals you and your group members for 50% weapon damage.
- Sacred Ground (Healing): Creates an area on the ground that lasts for 12s and heals 10% weapon damage every second.
- Divine Embrace (Healing): Heals target for 150% weapon damage.
ii. Passives
- Desperate Speed (Healing): Reduces Life Staff cooldowns after healing an ally with less than 50% health.
- Sacred Protection (Healing): Increases the base health of the group members while holding a Life Staff. Switching to the secondary weapon will disregard this skill.
- Mending Touch (Healing): Removes one debuff when hitting an ally with Life Staff’s Heavy Attack.
- Intensify (Healing): Increases healing after Heavy Attacks.
- Defensive Light (Protector): Grants 5% max mana after you block a Melee Attack.
- Bend Light (Protector): Improves healing after you dodge roll.
II. Secondary Weapon: Ice Gauntlet
Ice gauntlet is a magical weapon that can be used to deal damages to your enemies by utilizing strong ice spells with powerful slow and freeze effects under the Ice Tempest and Builder skill trees. This weapon has destructive power that boasts superior crowd control.
i. Active skills
- Ice Storm (Ice Tempest): Executes a ranged attack that damages and slows enemies within a 5-meter radius frosted area.
- Ice Pylon (Builder): Places an Ice Pylon that fires ice projectiles dealing 50% weapon damage at enemies within a 20-meter range for 15 seconds or until killed.
- Entombed (Builder): Allows players to entomb themselves in ice to become invulnerable and greatly increase mana regen.
ii. Passives
- Energized Critical (Ice Tempest): Increases critical damage of Ice Spells by 15% when at full stamina.
- Heavy Freeze (Ice Tempest): Allows players to freeze enemies with Heavy Attacks if enemies are hit in Ice Storm or with Frostbite for 1 second.
- Critical Rejuvenation (Ice Tempest): Recovers 5 mana after triggering a critical hit on a target.
- Gathering Storm (Ice Tempest): Hits with three consecutive light attacks to grant player 15 mana.
- Empowered Frost (Builder): Regains 3 mana for each spell cast while in a frosted area.
- Refreshing Frost (Builder): Reduces all active cooldowns for ice abilities by 20% when casting an ability in a frosted area.

The Heal Thrower
“The Heal Thrower” is the ultimate Healer/Support PvE build in New World as it uses a Hatchet as a secondary weapon which has several debuffs a player can add to their enemies like slow, infected, etc. With this build, you can heal as well as weaken the enemy drastically for your allies to get the job done quickly. This build is not much efficient in PvP scenarios.
Make sure to spend as much attribution point on Focus as you can. Aim for a total of 300 Focus.
I. Primary Weapon: Life Staff

- Sacred Ground (Healing tree): It can be useful in boss fights. Place it near the enemy.

i. Active Skills
- Rending Throw (Throwing): Allows players to throw an ax dealing 110% weapon damage and applying Rend, reducing the target’s damage absorption.
- Social Distancing (Throwing): Allows players to throw an ax forward and dodge backward, dealing damage and slowing enemies.
- Infected Throw (Throwing): Allows players to throw an ax dealing damage and triggering Disease and Weakening enemies.
ii. Passives
- Rejuvenating Crits (Throwing): It can regenerate stamina when hitting Critical Hits with Light Attacks or Aimed Throws.
- Refreshing Throws (Throwing): Throwing hatchets at targets with an active debuff reduces all cooldowns by 5%. Always good to have reduced cooldown on your skills for speedy attacks.
- Adrenaline Rush (Throwing): Reduces Stamina consumption when dodging within 2 seconds of triggering an ability.
- Persistent Hindrance (Throwing): Throwing 3 hatchet hits extends all hatchet debuff durations by 30%. This will make sure that your target can rarely break free from debuffs.

The Cleric
Unlike the other two builds, “The Cleric” is created keeping PvP battles in mind. It employs swords and shields in combat along with its healing abilities, it also uses Fortify buffs to increase endurance, making it a robust solo build.
The Cleric fights on the frontlines, so it is recommended to have Heavy Armor along with the other weapons to absorb extreme damage. Keep your Focus attribute at 200, as it grants a 30% increase in all your buffs.
