In a game like Elden Ring, players understand that the best weapon is the weapon best suited to them. With the release of the Shadow of Erdtree DLC, the game’s difficulty has been increased significantly.
Of the new weapons that the DLC brings into the mix, the Bleed weapons reign supreme. Be it against Bosses, causing infinite stagger, or decimating mobs- these weapons have been very effective.
The best Bleed Weapons in Elden Ring Shadow DLC are as follows-
- Claws of Night
- Backhand Blade
- Rakshasa’s Great Katana
- Beast Claws
- Bloodfiend’s Arm

Claws of Night is one of the best Claw-type weapons in Elden Ring and its DLC. This new weapon scales with Dexterity and is a great Weapon for Dex builds.
The Claws are an absolute menace in PvP combat with their constant Bleed effect and are effective against Bosses as well. The Ash of War allows for massive damage each time and is totally spammable. Moreover, the Smithing Talisman gives it a decent boost.
4. Backhand Blade

---|---|---|---|---|---|
105 | 0 | 0 | 0 | 0 | 100 |

The Backhand Blade is a unique weapon in Elden Ring. It allows for dual wielding, even with a single copy. Not only does it have an impressive 220 base damage, but dual wielding also which gives you a 50% STR bonus. It has an S Dex scaling when you hit the 80-stat cap.
The Bleed procs often while using this weapon with Blood Grease buff and Lord of Blood Talisman on it. This is a quick spam weapon that allows you to go against even the final Boss. (Provided you get some hits in between attacks)
3. Rakshasa’s Great Katana

---|---|---|---|---|---|
155 | 0 | 0 | 0 | 0 | 100 |

The Rakshasa’s Great Katana is the only Blood Loss Great Katana in the game. The Katana scales with STR and DEX, so you can run this on any Bleed build after obtaining it.
The key advantages are its poise break, which staggers opponents, and its passive that resists stagger even when it’s not in your main hand. With the low-cost ‘Weed Cutter’ skill, it is a perfect counter to mobs and players.
2. Beast Claws
Physical Attack | Magic Damage | Fire Damage | Lightning Damage | Holy Damage | Critical |
---|---|---|---|---|---|
98 | 0 | 0 | 0 | 0 | 100 |

35 | 20 | 20 | 20 | 20 | 20 |

D STR, D DEX | 13 STR, 11 DEX |
The Beast Claw is one of the best weapons in Elden RIng. Not only does it have unique run and jump attacks that reach enemies at a distance and staggers them, but the unique ashes like the ‘Red Bear’s Claw’ allow for massive stack damage.
Add to that, these hits you land build-up and trigger bleeding with ease. The rapid attacks make it effective against mobs and weaker enemies, though not so much against very tanky Bosses.
1. Bloodfiend’s Arm
Physical Attack | Magic Damage | Fire Damage | Lightning Damage | Holy Damage | Critical |
---|---|---|---|---|---|
147 | 0 | 0 | 0 | 0 | 100 |
Physical Absorption | Magic Defense | Fire Defense | Lightning Defense | Holy Defense | Guard Boost |
76 | 46 | 46 | 46 | 46 | 51 |
Attribute Scaling | Attributes Required | ||||
D STR, E DEX, D ARC | 28 STR, 11 DEX, 16 ARC |
The Bloodfiend’s Arm is the best Bleed weapon because it does massive damage and Blood Loss with good arcane scaling. The stagger mechanic on the weapon allows for a cycle of infinite Bleed, even on the strongest Bosses.
The Bloodfiend’s Arm tops the list of the best Bleed weapons. Not only is it the best Bleed weapon, but it is also arguably the best weapon in the game. In fact, it was so good that FromSoft had to nerf it, seeing how easy it made the DLC.
Even with the Nerf, the weapon goes from top 1 to still top 1. The best choice is to apply Bleed infusion and level up your arcane to deal insane amounts of Blood Loss damage. Use ashes like Cragblade or Charged Heavy on it to absolutely slam Bosses into the ground.
