I. Crazy births Crazy
Chapter 187, titled “An Examination of the Phrase: Running like a Rabbit,” begins with Louis running towards the scene of the fight while imagining that Legos might have lost an arm or a leg. After reaching the Back-alley market, Louis is met with the sight of Legos running away from Melon!
Legos is surprised at himself running away but gets caught by Melon, who pins Legos to the wall and chokes him. Melon told Legos the crazy story of his mother mating with a Gazelle and loved him so much that she had to eat him.
II. I want to live!
Legos’ vision begins to blur. All he could see were his clawed hands. He remembers them always being in front of him whenever he felt anxious about the relationships between herbivores and carnivores.
The hands that once made Legos nervous were because they could take any life if he desired but proved insignificant when his life was being taken. Kyuu yells for Legos to survive, and with that instinct, he jumps on Melon!
III. Who is that?
On the way, Gosha and Yahya are caught in the frenzy caused by the reporters who wanted to interview him as a Beastar, after the commotion caused at Louis’s press conference. The reporters crowd to get footage of the Back-alley market, but Yahya stops them but notices an animal with a unique twist in horns and recognizes him as Melon’s species!

Beastars is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Paru Itagaki. It has been serialized in Weekly Shōnen Champion since September 2016, with its chapters collected in 19 tankōbon volumes as of July 2020.
The story takes place in a world of modern, civilized, anthropomorphic animals with a cultural divide between carnivores and herbivores.
