Battlefield Developers Respond to Rumour-filled Tweet with Trolling

Ever since EA’s announcement regarding Battlefield 6, rumours have been flying all around about the game’s make and details. While social media has taken it upon itself to churn out most of the unconfirmed information, Battlefield has been quiet about things for the most part. Until recently, when Battlefield decided to throw down the gauntlet with one hell of a troll tweet.

Recently, Twitter user Roberto Serrano (erstwhile Chief Editor of 4News.it) posted a tweet that encapsulated “inside information” on Battlefield 6.

In a bullet-point structure, Serrano spoke about a range of new features coming to the game including a new Battle Royale, weapon and soldier customizations, stunning visual effects and more, and concluded with a Fall 2021 release date. It is important to note that none of this information is neither new nor confirmed; the tweet was just a recycle of all the rumors that have surfaced about the game.

And Battlefield’s response was quite the rib-tickler. Imitating Serrano’s tweet format, Battlefield listed, in point form, the many features of Spaghetti. The points noted many essential points of the mouth-watering italian delicacy like how its noodley, slippy, good with sauce and garlic bread, can be used as decoration and most importantly, is spaghetti and is always available. As a footnote, the tweet also added that it’s available as pasta. The tweet also made sure to drive the point home by including an image of the word Spaghetti in a giant font echoing the image from Serrano’s initial tweet.

As of now, Battlefield 6 is reportedly set for reveal in May 2021, before the annual E3 event. This should be the ideal unveiling period for Battlefield 6 as its competitor, Call of Duty 2021, could also be announced in that time as well.

Furthermore, this will be a rather important outing for DICE and EA as the previous Battlefield game, Battlefield 5, came out over three years ago and Call of Duty Modern Warfare has conquered a major chunk of the first-person shooter market. For now, all we can do is hope that the official announcements live up to all that’s coming out of the rumour mill.

Battlefield 6 Might be Revealed Sooner than we Expected
